You are missing the point entirely. I'd have given him to an NL team instead of giving him to a competitor. Are you really having a hard time understanding that? When we got rid of Nomar, we sent him to the NL, the same with Manny, but we send Youk to a team fighting us for the Wild card. That's just stupid.

SFF, how much clearer could I make it? IMO, we got nothing-- players or moneywise ($2 million is insignificant). I would rather have taken nothing and sent him to the NL. Do you want to ask me again, what I wanted to get for him? That is not my issue. I would not have given him to a competitor. I would have sent him to the NL.

People keep asking this, but who is arguing that we should have gotten more. Seriously, who is making that argument? You are missing the point entirely as is everyone else in their rallying around the FO. We got no one, so why not put him out of our misery and send him to the NL. Are these nobody's that we got so good and valuable that it was worth trading him to a competitor? Do people really think these guys are so good that it was worth trading him to a competitor? I can't see how anyone could answer that in the affirmative?

Who is arguing with you on that? We would have gotten just as young sending him to the NL. It's funny to see you, BTR and SBF all in unison on this. BTR should invite SBF to the dinner with you.

I have faith in my guys. That doesn't mean that I hand my opposition a weapon. What did we get rid of $2 million. jeezus, who are we the Royals! I am sure some NL team would have eaten most of that.

If he gets them 1 key win that may be enough to send us home. It was last year. Were these guys good enough to keep him in the AL? Pick two common names, let's say Perez and Wilson. Let's say we got them from some NL team. Surely, there are a bunch of prospects with those names in NL organizations. Would they be so much worse than Lillibridge and Zack whoever the f***?

Check his stats as an MIFer. The White Sox have been using him in the OF for a reason.

Benny Boy hasn't set the world on fire with any of his deals yet, but I thought he could dump a player by at least sending him to the NL. He couldn't get that right? We get to face him for 4 games right after the All Star Break. That's good, he'll have time to fill in Konerko and the rest of their hitters about our pitchers.

After DMac goes, who goes when Sweeney and CC comeback? Read my posts. My issue isn't that we got nothing for him. My issue is that if we were going to get nothing for him, send him to the NL where he can't stick it up our ass as we compete with the White Sox for a Wild Card.

The safety of their keyboards? What is Cherington doing... taking incoming artillery? Please! The biggest problem that I have with this move is that if you were going to give away Youk-- and make no mistake they gave him away-- give him to an NL team. It baffles me that they traded him to a team that we still have to play and that is fighting for a Wild card berth. Were these guys so much better than nothing that we had to make Youk a competitor? That's the issue for me, but probably one of those little details that Benny overlooked. The danger of his GM suite at Fenway probably compromised his judgment.

Which gives brent about 3 weeks or less with the Sox, cause he'll be the first one cut when CC comes back.
