Is Beckett making the start tomorrow? -
Great day! A big Red Sox win on my anniversary that is over well in advance of dinner time, so I will not miss a thing by going to our celebratory dinner. Also, got the news that Yankees Sabathia and Pettitte are both on the DL. What a day!

I can't constantly crow about being right. People get annoyed. I have to pick my spots. Predictions about Pedroia are easy. He always looks like total s*** before he goes on a tear. Let's hope it is a vintage Pedroia hot streak. He is, as Reggie used to call himself, the straw that stirs the drink.

Has any big name pitcher inked a long term extension at the trading deadline as part of a trade in his walk year? I don't think that is a possibility.

The Red Sox according to my research are 13 wins and 13 Losses on my Wedding Anniversary. I got married in 1981 while baseball was on strike. My kids were born in the off season, and my parents passed away prior to Spring Training 2011. My family knows not to interfere with my Red Sox. They are very thoughtful that way. I'd like to climb over .500 for games played on my anniversary.

It would be nice if he pitched up to half of the reputation he had when he was signed. He's never come close to expectations and he has done almost nothing for more than 3 years.

If we don't acquire a starting pitcher, it will be very difficult to catch the Yankees. Our starting pitching is just not very good. Matsuzaka was a mirage tonight. I am not counting on seeing a lot of that from him.
