  1. I can live with that.
  2. With CC and Pettitte on the shelf, it will be interesting to see the Yankees rotation when they come to Boston for a 4 game ste next weekend, especially since Saturday Is a double header.
  3. Pump this ugly skinny wreck full of acid blockers and acid reducers, get his blood levels back to normal and get his ass back on the mound. He was our best pitcher for the last couple of weeks before he blew out his stomach.
  4. Rentals rarely fetch blue chip prospects. It is likely that these rentals will get a package of ! And 9 type prospects. I asked the question the other day, but no one responded. I am interested in. knowing when there has been a trading deadline trade and sign of a player in his walk year. I can't remember any. I think it would be silly for a star pitcher to sign at the trading deadline when there are only a few months to go to free agency.
  5. They have Pence and Victorino in their OF where would both Ross and Nava fit on the Phillies?
  6. Benny should forget about Hamels. That is not going to happen. the Phillies are not ready to throw in the towel. They are priming to make a run. He should look at the Cubs for Garza or Dempster. He'll be making a mistake if he thinks he has lots of other options.
  7. As a mental health professional, isn't it true that anxiety problems can be managed and often the problems do not recur in a debilitating way. Other times, it does recur but can be managed with medication and therapy to keep a person productive in their lives and careers. The fact that Greinke had a severe or acute bout of anxiety earlier in his life does not mean that he is weak mentally or that he is more susceptible to a debilitating experience with anxiety disorder. And you were wrong about Gio. I don't think the guys traded for him presented a prohibitive price. Gio signed a very reasonable contract extension. He's not making much more money than Bobby Jenks. I thought he was pretty good, but after seeing him at Fenway this season, I realized that i too had underestimated him. I think he will improve over the next several seasons, and he is pretty damn good already. He throws harder than I had thought.
  8. A huge test for Morales going up against King Felix. Hopefully, some King of TalkSox mojo can help. King Felix vs. King of TalkSox-- Mano a Mano with some help from Francklin Morales and the Red Sox.
  9. Great day! A big Red Sox win on my anniversary that is over well in advance of dinner time, so I will not miss a thing by going to our celebratory dinner. Also, got the news that Yankees Sabathia and Pettitte are both on the DL. What a day!
  10. His doctors are ironically prescribing fried chicken and beer to heal the ulcer.
  11. I can't constantly crow about being right. People get annoyed. I have to pick my spots. Predictions about Pedroia are easy. He always looks like total s*** before he goes on a tear. Let's hope it is a vintage Pedroia hot streak. He is, as Reggie used to call himself, the straw that stirs the drink.
  12. No TV at the Doctor's office? Get a new doctor!
  13. Someone IM or text BTR that today is a day game.
  14. Has any big name pitcher inked a long term extension at the trading deadline as part of a trade in his walk year? I don't think that is a possibility.
