  1. We need an additional pitcher. Our pitching continues to be at the bottom of the league. It's just not good enough.
  2. It's time to get serious (if the Sox intend to make a serious run) and get a top pitcher in here. Doubs, Cook, Morales and Dice K could fight it out for any remaining starts not made by Beckett, Lester, Buch or the new guy.
  3. And what was the mad rush to get him out of here? It couldn't have waited until the trading deadline. A little more patience and the problem would have played itself out. Youk would be playing every day and the kid would be DL'd to heal properly. He has gotten a lot of experience this season and Youk would be gone next year anyway, if not sooner, so what the f*** was the rush?
  4. It would be great if we could find a team giving away a player like Youkilis. Oh, that would be the Red Sox. I will ask again. What was the burning reason to give away Youkilis. He was given away. Make no mistake about that. Did he threaten to burn down the clubhouse? Why did he have to be moved before the Trading Deadline? Was the deal for Zach Stewart and Lillibitch just too good to pass up? Was that $1 million in salary relief for the 2012 payroll going to make or break the Red Sox 2012 business plan?
  5. But we got Lllibitch for insurance. Oh, I forgot. He sucks as an infielder. Let's see if Cherries can make anything happen. Andy La Roche? Puhlease!
  6. It looks like his hamstring problem yesterday was more than cramps.
  7. The numbers don't lool good for the Sox winning the division. I think that it will take 95 wins to take the ALE. We're at the half way point in a couple of days and the Sox are 5 games over .500. In order to get to 95 wins, they would have to play 23 games over .500 on the second half for a record of 52-29 for a .641 winning percentage. I don't thinlk this team has that kind of play in it. Pumpsie is probably more right than we want to believe about the division hopes. The Sox need to go on a tear now to have a chance, not at the end of July. That wil be too late if the Yankees clean our clocks beforew the All Star break.
  8. They promote their shoulder program as something great for pitchers, but yet our pitchers hardly ever pitch deep into games. The proof of their program is right there. It's a farce.
  9. Wayda go!! Keep on not watching!!!
  10. I think he is a character in a TV Western. The words of the theme to the show goes something like "Daniel Bard was a man. he was a real man..." Something like that. I think he was played by the now deceased, Fes Parker.
  11. I'll be turning cartwheels if they land Hamels. I just don't see the Phillies throwing in the towel on 2012. They have a lot of money invested in that roster.
  12. There is a reason why they might consider moving Bogaerts to land an ace. If they are convinced that WMB is the real deal superstar material, Bogaerts path to Fenway is likely blocked. If he is blocked by WMB, his stock may not rise that high unless he flat out eats up AAA pitching like he is the next coming of Pujols. Teams will know that we have no room for him and they will know that our hand will be forced to move WMB or Bogaerts. We would not be dealing from strength. Depth and redundancy isn't necessarily strength on the trade market.
  13. I don't think they will give up alot for a 2 month rental, and as much as I like to get established stars for prospects, I would not go overboard for a rental.
  14. I can't disagree with the conclusion, but I have Hamels in the pipe dream category at this juncture.
  15. They don't pitch. I'm not sold on Cook and Doubs looks like his wheels are coming off. I am hopeful about Morales, but we need another pitcher, and I am not hopeful that Cherries will get one.
  16. Even in a bad year, he should occasionally charge one up. He doesn't hit the ball long at all.
  17. This hitting streak of Gonzo's is a farce. I am not seeing signs of life from his bat, not even long foul balls. WTF!
  18. You are cool with me SFF. I'm just incredibly tense over playing these guys this weekend. I feel much better that we wrestled these bums to a draw. But seriously, is there something physically wrong with Gonzo? He can't drive the ball to the track anymore.
  19. Lillibitch is our insurance against an injury to WMB.
  20. We can synchronize throwing up on our lap tops. Note the time that you hurl.
  21. Wake up. He is having an atrocious season. It's almost beyond repair. Even if he goes on a complete HR tear in the second half, he will have produced well below expectations.
  22. I was referring to Yankee Stadium as the joke.
  23. Cody Ross getting intentionally walked to face Gonzo. Wow!! They don't fear him at all anymore!!
