Would that be considered a “ buyer” move?

The production from the catching position has been good, and Jansen is RH. Wong has been a solid RHH. I don’t get it. Paxton faded in the second half last season, so he’s not much of an upgrade, if any. These are not very helpful. Need a good pen arm or two.

Above all this team is boring.
  4. a700hitter
This team has no shot. Sell everyone. I hope they don’t keep so much salary like they have been doing to get busted prospects. I’d rather dump the whole salary and get nothing in return like Ben did in 2012.

It never made sense and was stupid from day 1 as was the Mookie trade. Sure we can explain the reasons for the stupidity, but it is still stupidity.

How anyone can argue that the Sale trade was anything other than a colossal f*** up is mind boggling. Too funny. And the same goes for the Mookie trade.
  7. a700hitter
I am not betting against it.
  8. a700hitter
And I was overly optimistic thinking that we could beat the worst team in baseball with one of our better pitchers. lesson learned. Never bet on this s***** team.
  9. a700hitter
They can’t even beat a horseshit team like the White Sox and a pitcher that can’t throw strikes. Laughable.

Martin is on the IL with anxiety issues. Go figure. His whole career has been high pressure late innings appearances and he has mastered his emotions on the mound.

I went to a couple of games last year, but I have not gone yet this year. I now pick games to see the stars of other teams, Ohtani, Soto, Judge, Gunnar Henderson etc. The Red Sox roster is not worth the price of admission and has not been for 3 years. I gave up my tickets, because Ace Tickets cut down on their inventory of Red Sox tickets. I used to sell them 65 games, and I would go to the rest.

Bright futures are for the young, something that I am not.

I was a season ticket holder for 4 years while living in NY!
  14. a700hitter
    Or he has nothing better.
  15. a700hitter
That doesn’t make me feel any better.

Any team that has Dom Smith batting 3rd is a bad team.

Houck always has the stuff to succeed. Let’s hope that he is durable. He could be a good #1.
  18. a700hitter
And Saturday’s lineup has Dom Smith hitting third. I’ll have to find something else to do.
  19. a700hitter
That roster makes me want to vomit.

And the Philly fans are enjoying every penny of it. This ownership has had 2 great GMs — Theo and DD. The others have been steaming hot garbage. You are what your record says you are. It’s that simple.
  21. a700hitter
It would be foolishness for us to hope that he would continue performing anywhere close to his stats. He is very run of the mill.
  22. a700hitter
    RIP Big Red
  23. a700hitter
Luckily, they signed him to an extension.
  24. a700hitter
Grissom, Hamilton and Rafaela due up. That is some murderers row. LOL!
  25. a700hitter
You mean that he isn’t the real deal?
