Yes, Casas should have been told that he would be a full time DH. The move to 1B of Devers should have communicated as soon as they made the trade. Vlad had no problem moving to 1B. -
I didn’t say that Bregman would have changed this game. I merely stated that the infield defense is not competent without him.

I think more teams play bad fundamentals than teams that play well fundamentally. The Yankees are worse than the Red Sox. In the words of John Sterling in last year’s World Series, the Yankees run the bases like drunks.

Devers went through a shorter streak like this last season where he couldn’t time anyone’s fastball. I had assumed that it had to do with his shoulder issues.

Devers has a big contract with many years left. He needs to stop being selfish and say that he will do what is best for the team. Maybe Papi will give him some fatherly advice.

I would have preferred Pete Alonso for 2 years /$54 million. $40 million/year is an absurd amount for a guy that was the 4 th best hitter on his team.

The players who would have improved the team are already signed. At this point, Arenado or Bregman would not improve the team very much.
