  1. You can't reach over far enough in those seats
  2. Idiot fans should have left the ball alone.
  3. And why wasn't he playing the whole game?
  4. I like this ^
  5. Don't sweat it. That run doesn't mean anything. We can't win a game unless we score more than 4 runs. We can't out-duel anyone on any given day.
  6. I guess he is sitting because he can hit.:dunno:
  7. Aviles could play 3rd and Ciriaco at SS.
  8. I'm not jumping the gun am I? Make note of it when you start the game thread. WTH are you waiting for?
  9. Punto is playing 3rd in Tuesday's lineup. WMB is sitting. Why not Ciriaco instead of Punto?
  10. Screwing with DS should make his players happy. They have to hate that guy.
  11. If the FO wasn't going to back him, then they should not have hired him. He was the biggest (and only significant) on field addition to the team that coughed it up in September 2011.
  12. I really can't see knocking anyone out of the rotation for him, including Cook. Edit: The ooozing out of your ears comment is very funny.
  13. I do give Benny credit in that he said that this team is a reflection on him.
  14. When asked if Morales would be starting on a more permanent basis, Valentine responded that he has wanted him to start from the beginning and they are trying to make that work. I assume "from the beginning" means when he started throwing long relief. Bobby V is managing this team with one arm tied behind his back.
  15. Dice K is almost finished with his latest rehab. Does anyone want to see him back in the rotation? Does anyone think that he can help?
  16. I realize that a lot of people are excited about this kid, and justifiably so. He looks to have a very bright future. The thing that bothers me is the assumption that he will step in for Ellsbury, our current CFer wiith a ton of speed and good power. I don't understand how a wealthy team like the Red Sox have become an organization that develops stars only to let them walk to other organizations once they blossom. How did we become the Kansas City Royals? I am excited about seeing this kid in a couple of seasons playing RF alongside Ells and Crawford to make up a super speedy OF-- an OF full of young and veteran stars.
  17. Is it that his swing is so fluid that it looks slow or does he just not have a lot of bat speed? He may not be pulling balls to RF because he can't. When you see him and Ortiz up close, the difference in bat speed is very noticeable.
  18. His cap may be lower than you think, because he hasn't pitched more than 50 innings in each of the last 7 years. He's hit his all time innings high already.
  19. Cruz nearly knocked the wall down.
  20. He's finally making an effort to earn his money. They are not ridiculous numbers, because they are only for a month. Ortiz had better than 1.000 OPS for the season.
  21. I think Crawford should just let the ligament heal over the winter.
  22. Verlander threw his 130 th pitch at 100 mph. He ended up with 14 k's, including Ichiro 3 times. Ichiro hadn't k'd once in 49 ABs with the Yanks.
