    Some guy on the Dodgers was pitching today with one eye open. Maybe it was Gonsolin. Afterward the field announcer pointed it out. I am paraphrasing his response which was that if he could get hitters out with one eye opened, it would be easier to get them out with both eyes open. The announcer then asked if he had a reason for it (i.e. keeping one eye closed). He said "definitely", and that was it. LOL!

    Oh, I was comparing their current cost. Holt is 32, and probably has some baseball life left. I’d rather have spent the additional $12 million elsewhere, especially since they ended up signing another utility guy in Marion Gonzalez.

    65 is putrid. That winning percentage was vomit inducing. I don’t see them doing much better than 70-72 wins this season unless there are additions to this squad or pleasant surprises.
