  1. He’s certainly now the highest paid utility players.
  2. I think this is what surrender looks like.
  3. So far, he has signed a broken down starting pitcher for $10 million and a Mediocre utility player for 2 years/$14 million. He’s also traded a full time young outfielder for a marginal MLB Outfielder named Franchy, a no-name pitching prospect and a handful of PTBNL lottery tickets. And now he has signed a 32 year old reliever from Japan. Who wouldn’t be impressed?
  4. #32? Get a locker ready for him at Fenway!
  5. Less Franchy’s salary.
  6. It wouldn’t make any sense to me.
  7. Bloom is supposed to be a trading genius. Is his MO to get lots of pieces in return for a legit MLBer and hope that one or more of them hits? Fine, but he needs to also put out a product that people want to watch. You know, walk and chew gum at the same time.
  8. Marisnick stinks. Glad he went elsewhere. But the Red Sox OF is now Verdugo, Renfroe and .... part time J.D. and ....?
  9. if they go through a 3 year period of futility that we went through with Ben, this could be a self fulfilling prophecy. The three last place finishes under Ben would have caused lasting damage to the franchise had it not been for the Championship in the middle of all that failure. Before Ben, the Red Sox had not marketed season tickets for many years. Many people dumped their tickets and opened up season ticket sales again. That is when I got my tickets. Bloom has the luxury of rebuilding during COVID so he isn’t losing ticket sales. However, he is destroying interest in the team. If fans disengage, you have a problem.
  10. ”A fast aging Benintendi”? He’s 26.
  11. Including Frenchy Tuscadero
  12. So, the Red Sox pick up almost half of his salary get 2 nonentities and some PTNL’s. Wow! What a wheeler dealer.
  13. An axe needs to drop.
  14. A poor man’s Wily Mo.
  15. I know that he is not a major leaguer. That was an accurate statement.
  16. is that what you are going with?
  17. No, he isn’t. He’s the same age as Benintendi and completely unaccomplished. He strikes out more than a third of the time. He’s not close to Benintendi’s caliber.
  18. The Red Sox parted with the only legitimate major leaguer in the deal.
  19. And not worth moving Benintendi.
  20. Franchy Cordero and that’s it?
  21. Selling low. I figured that he was a goner when the rumor started.
  22. You are doing the midlife crisis thing all wrong. You are supposed to get a red sports car.
  23. Ben? I think you are suffering from PTBD.
  24. That’s not too much to ask.
