  1. I am glad that I am not a teacher. I couldn’t stick to the curriculum, any curriculum. But my students would be challenged and they would learn life skills.
  2. I think the lesson is that anything can be a cancel-able offense at this time.
  3. I have renewed the league. Let me know if the website sent out an email invitation to current team owners. If you are not a current owner and want to join, send me your email address in a PM.
  4. Major League professional sports is run by buffoons.
  5. Bottom 5 spots are very weak
  6. And since it is in my signature, you can do the "I told you so" without any effort.
  7. I am memorializing a portion of your post in my signature to see if you are are right come August/September.
  8. Ryu is better than anyone on the Red Sox staff other than a healthy Sale. Ray is a big arm. He’s been searching for consistency. Roark is a steady arm and performer who eats some innings. Their rotation is rounded out by Matz, Stripling, and Pearson. They have 6 legit starters. The Red Sox have ERod, Eovaldi, Perez, Richards, and Houck. The Jays rotation is not only comparable to the Sox rotation, but IMO it is better. Add that to the Jays far superior offense and it spells out that the Sox can’t competed with them.
  9. After signing Teheran, maybe the Tigers are out on Porcello. While Porcello may not have much gas left in his fastball, at least he is healthy. Hamel’s is damaged goods.
  10. and Porcello?
  11. Julio Teheran is signing with the Tigers.
  12. Kimmi will not have to worry about rooting for him in a Red Sox uniform.
  13. We have an embarrassment of riches of PTBNL’s .
  14. This seems a bit pricey.
  15. Bloom is going with what we have. Bleh!
  16. The guy they got from the Dodgers for Betts is probably ahead of him.
  17. Which means that he has a 75% chance of being out of baseball within 4 years.
  18. Shouldn't that be over when Spring games start?
  19. Isn’t Plawecki still on the team?
  20. Those two guys weren’t worth a bucket of balls, so the only question is whether the guy that we got in return is worth half a bucket of balls.
  21. My condolences on the loss of your father.
  22. Vaz had one excellent year. Hopefully, it will not be his career year. He has never been expected to be a big MLB hitter. Verdugo is solid and could be above average. I am not seeing potential to lump him in with JD or Devers or Bogey. Edit: I notice that you didn’t comment on the pitching
  23. 3 excellent hitters —- JD, Bogey, and Denver’s. The rest of the offense is very ordinary. From a a defensive standpoint, only Vasquez is above average. It looks like an overall below average defensive team. As for pitching, there isn’t a single starting pitcher that I would buy a ticket to see — and we are going with a 4 man rotation tanging from mediocrity to bleh. I am not encouraged that they will be playing meaningful games after the end of July.
  24. I am with you until that very last part. Mookie is smart and he wouldn’t undercut his value that way.
  25. What a shame. There had been such high hopes for him.
