  1. I checked the PawSox box score to see if Ortiz was in the lineup tonight. He went 1 for 3 with 2 k's. Rubby De La Rosa had his third terrible start in a row. His ERA is at 13.50.
  2. This has been a great start to the season. It's nice for a change to not have a hole to dig out of in April.
  3. I think that he might have had a problem with that last year.
  4. She seems like a nice girl. I just had to question her judgment dating a Kennedy.
  5. Nothing political. Kennedy's are known for hitting everything. They get involved with a lot of skanks.
  6. Didn't she date a Kennedy at some point? By definition, I think that qualifies her as a skank.
  7. Bad luck? Travis Hafner, Vernon Wells and Youl are all playing well for them.

  9. She's a bit of a skank... no?
  10. So, then BTR's mojo is a farce? Is that what you are saying?:dunno:
  11. He's the best defensive outfielder that we have after Victorino. He's the perfect late inning defensive replacement. Once Ortiz comes back, either Nava or Carp lose all of their ABs. Until yesterday, I would have bet on Carp getting sent out, but Carp looks like he can do some damage to RH pitching. His natural position is first base so he can spell Napoli as well as play some LF in Fenway.
  12. This is the opportunity that Aceves wanted. Maybe he will keep his head together and make a good showing to prove himself as a starter.
  13. Who gets sent out when Ortiz returns?
  14. Middlebrooks looks awful right now. I hope a few hits fall in for him soon before this starts getting in his head.
  15. Those are the keys. In the past several years we have suffered more than our share of injuries. Maybe this year the injury bug won't bite us too hard.
  16. I don't think it is too shocking that Lester and Buch have bounced back, especially in light of the Spring Training that they had. They have done better than bounce back this far. They are off to the best starts of their careers. The real shocker has been how well the third thru fifth slots have performed. We just need those guys to be healthy and make their starts to be competitive. If they keep performing like this, it could be a very fun season.
  17. He's the best since Dewey. Evans had the stronger arm but Victorino has better range. He gets great jumps and goes back on balls as good as anyone that I have seen.
  18. Aceves was out of gas.
  19. Victorino is such an excellent outfielder.
  20. Napoli was an attractive option in large part due to his versatility to go behind the plate for 40 or 50 games. As strictly a first baseman, he is a very meh otion.
  21. I gave up the hopes of getting an ace a long time ago. Tht's why I wanted to strengthen the middle and bottom of the rotation in the offseason. No aces were on the market and dreams of Felix were just pipe dreams. Even mid market teams are re-signing their aces. I was pretty consistent about this all offseason.
  22. A mature and broadly dispersed fanbase. It goes far beyond the borders of Boston or New England.
  23. A fast start is such a nice change from the past several years.
  24. The intensity of the market would be one factor that would be reflected in revenue. Certainly, Boston is in with the big boys with revenue.
