    It is more than a little assinine to tell a fan that he can't root for his team because he criticized some off season moves. My recollection is that Fred actually like some of the offseason moves, but why let accuracy get in the way of this BS ^. My recollection is that you have had strong opinions about Daniel Nava stiinking. He has been a major contributor to the sox fast start. By your logic, that would make it impossible for you to root for the Sox to succeed. Ridiculous... right? Hey, the Dodgers will take you in as a fan.:harhar:

    I was on the road today and heard Neil Diamond on the radio singing Sweet Caroline. I thought at first there was some bad feedback from the PA system. Then I thought he was singing along with his own recording. It just sounded weird. What was the deal? Nava has shown unexpected HR power. He has been a huge part of this fast start. I am surprised to hear that Webster will be getting a start tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing that.

    911 was a bit different, Youk. For a couple of days after 911, there were lots of rumors and several evacuations. One or two nights later the Empire State Building was evacuated and the people were told to head toward one of the rivers. That was pretty scary and disconcerting. There was palpable fear of additional attacks. Fighter jets were flying over head night and day. Baseball shutdown across the country out of mourning and respect for the dead who hadn't even begun to be identified. However, the city remained open and mainly operational. NYers went to work the next day, and we volunteered our time after work and on weekends.

    I would do it only after being properly deputized by law enforcement. I do know how to handle a firearm quite responsibly. Only Yankee fans would be in danger of getting caught in any crossfire. I might use a couple of them as human shields if things get tough.
