Kike is a utility player with a low OBP. That’s who he is as defined by his career. All of his “energy” will not change that fact. Personally, I’d rather have signed Holt for what he signed for with the Brewers.

He’s a reliever, because LA is stacked with Kershaw, Bauer, Buehler, Dustin May, Gonsolin, Urias,et al. Price could still start and he would be much better than Richards.

Or the bullpen might wear out by June and the hot bats in the warm weather might bludgeon our starters. I like your optimistic outlook better.

It’s 50/50 that I do. I am just glad that we didn’t take him, and I am not hearing great anticipation from the Mets side of things in NY. I think Fangraphs is behind the curve on this guy.

His 4 years of professional ball. He is a little speed guy who is a K machine that hasn’t played above His 1 year at AA. The Royals gave up on him and couldn’t give him to the Red Sox. The Red Sox flipped him to the Mets for a couple of lottery tickets.
