  1. i didn’t understand all the negativity about JD. Throw out last season for everyone. Heck, the Marlins made the playoffs and Tampa went to the World Series. The entire season was a mockery. if you throw out last year and rank JD last 5 or 6 seasons for OPS and TB you would find that he is in very elite company. He isn’t that old, hasn’t suffered a debilitating injury and pitchers don’t figure out how to neutralize a big bat after all these years.
  2. The 2 keys to avoiding a 90+ loss season is 1. Getting ERod back to some semblance of 2019 making 30 starts. 2. Eovaldi making 25 starts. Not much can be expected of the rest of the rotation.
  3. It is clear from your statement, that you have not read all of my posts. If you had, you would have to admit that you were wrong.
  4. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong. I have a problem with people telling me I am wrong, but some people get off on that. Enjoy.
  5. i never said that there wouldn’t be a big downturn. I said that there shouldn’t be a big downturn. That’s a big difference. The Patriots haven’t had a cliff after prolonged success. The Yankees never seem to experience cliffs like this. This cliff is the result of extremely poor management. And yes, I am pissed about it, because a team with a payroll north of $200 million should be able to be competitive each season while rebuilding their farm. What is funny to me is that you are interested in why I feel the way I feel, because your feelings don’t interest me at all.
  6. That’s right. They don’t miss a beat. They have been dead last in attendance every season since forever.
  7. Tampa went to the World Series and decided to gut their pitching staff.
  8. we need a reason to tune in, even if they will no5 make a playoff run. Maybe swap Devers to first and Dalbec to 3rd or get Devers a bigger glove or a basket or something.
  9. Trade him and eat his salary!
  10. They need to limit Taylor’s runs.
  11. It’s not the usual MVP powerhouse roster, but it’s too early to tell.
  12. Even “Stinky Gross” teams can manage to do that 25 percent of the time.
  13. The Yankees are doing what opposing teams are supposed to do to the Orioles— beat them to a pulp.
  14. “Three games into the season, it is time to reassess. The Red Sox aren't sneaky anything. They are plainly, straightforwardly, forthrightly horrible.” ”Stinky gross”
  15. You said that Kimbrel sucks now. I said that he looks to have regained his velocity. That was my conversation.
  16. If has his velocity, he should be okay. He can’t fool anyone on his slider in the dirt unless he has the high octane.
  17. My 90 plus loss prediction is looking like a good and conservative prediction.
  18. His velocity is reportedly up. I didn’t say anything about resigning him, just that he looks like he may have straightened himself out, and he isn’t that old.
  19. And don’t forget Trey Ball! To paraphrase Bob Gibson to Tim McCarver, the only thing that Ben knows about pitching is that he can’t hit it. That is not a rich list of pitching talent. It is pretty pathetic.
  20. I like it better than what we have. At least we could watch Mookie, Devers and JD wreck lots of pitching staffs.
  21. I saw Kimbrel close out the Cubs victory on Sunday. I have to say that I didn’t recognize him. He has long blonde hair and a blonde beard. Wasn’t he previously a ginger complexion guy with red hair?
