  1. I think it is on its way to find its own level.
  2. He is the only consistent reliable hitter that we have.
  3. Plus, Moore is going for a tea record tonight. We have been very accommodating lately helping opposing pitchers achieve records.
  4. Ground Rule Double if the OFer gets stuck to the wall?
  5. What about nerf covered with velcro?
  6. Even better. And on Old Timers Day Bob Stanley could pop it like he used to pop all those beach balls during hi playing days.
  7. I do like to stretch my legs ocassionally, but I don't leave the TV during a game.
  8. Remove the RF bullpen wall and replace it with 3 1/2 ft beanbag structure.
  9. I'd like a rocking chair. I could burn some calories while watching baseball.
  10. You have decoded FO speak. Congrats.
  11. Toward the end of his Yankee tenure, Joe Torre said that he took the losses harder than when he was younger.
  12. Hey Buddy, once again we played to a hard fought draw. You always have the superior offense, and I had the better pitching. We built 2 entirely different types of teams. Yet, people say that we agree on everything.
  13. Bryce Harper did a Peter Reiser last night running face first into an OF wall. He cut up his face, but the kid must have a hard head, because he didn't suffer a concussion. Pete Reiser was a star OFer for the Brooklyn Dodgers who won a batting title in 1941. He was projected to be an all time great, but his career was ruined and cut short from the effects of running head first into too many OF walls.
  14. Skanks got shutout by Masterson in game 1 against Cleveland-- 1-0 final.
  15. It is unbelievable what peple will do. As for the barking, Beagles are known for their howling.
  16. We rescued a crippled dog from a Shelter in West Va. She's an Australian Shepherd/mutt. She is a sweetheart, but she was a little unruly at the beginning, but is great now. However, she is a big barker.
  17. I am not seeing any consistent improvement from him. He has a good AB or 2 and then he looks awful for a couple of games.
  18. Even if we play better than .500 ?
  19. Definitely not. That is why I also ordered the additional walk.
  20. The challenge for the Red Sox is that the MFY's continue to roll despite crippling injuries; the Orioles may be the best balanced team in the division and the Rays will probably not continue to play this poorly.
  21. Fred, As King of TalkSox I decree that you must take your dog for an additional walk each dayn that you give it an extra treat and a belly rub after a Sox loss. The poor doggie shouldn't be stressed while you are watching baseball.
  22. But preferable to him being angry with his wife, family and dog.
  23. Fred, you may be somewhat senior to me, but the 30 additional years of fandom have taught me to expect frustration from our Red Sox. Although people think we agree on everything, as Spring Training was ending your fandom was getting the better of your reason. You were upbeat and optimistic about the teams chances. I predicted a 4th place finish (possibly last if things went terribly wrong). The team is in a tailspin right now, but they are doing better than I had expected so it isn't eating me up. Do yourself a favor. Lower your expectations for this team. I think the best we can expect is a competitive team that will still be in the hunt for the second WC when September rolls around.
