    Not really. iortiz and I have been negotiating a trade for some time. This is what we came up with. The fact that it pissed off UN just added to the fun.

    My friend knew that he could cancel the trade at any time. If he wants to reverse the trade, i would gladly do so. He and i this year and last year have been neck and neck in the standings. He is a very good Fantasy manager and a very smart guy, so why would he let me take advantage of him with a lopsided trade? You are just ridiculous.

    The Fantasy Points for Trout and Segura as the end of the games on May 19th are as follows. These points do not count in the final tally for the wager with Pal. Only points earned beginning May 20th until the end of the regular season count. Trout 29 Runs 29 RBI 8 SB 91 TB Total Pts. 157 Segura 25 Runs 20 RBI 14 SB 94 TB Total Pts. 153 Please double check these figures.

    Jerry and Don missed the play. They called it a great catch and were complimenting the CF Hicks. They didn't notice that he dropped the ball.

    BTW, while Trout was the # 1 player in the Opening Rankings, he is ranked 16 now versus a #4 ranking for Segura. Wow, this is so one-sided!

    No, you are not getting what I am saying. You rarely do. I am not saying that Segura is the better player than Trout. That's not my point. My point is that he is a really good player. He is my top offensive player and he plays a premium position. Pairing him with a good pitcher and meeting 2 needs of the other team in return for Trout would not disrupt the competitive balance of the league. I made the offer of the bet to keep this issue out there with a light on it. I think the outcome will be close, and I think Segura will be the top fantasy player at his position when the year ends, and that will show that the trade would not have disrupted league balance, except to the extent that it would have improved my team and iortiz's team. That is what a trade is supposed to do. But no, there will be no sig bet. I only make a sig bet when it is a sure thing. Do you agree to the metrics beginning on Monday?

    I'd go with Victorino, Pedroia and Ortiz at the top. I want my best hitter getting an AB in the first inning.

    Iortiz, these guys are just sore that I had the good fortune of scooping up one oft the best players in the league off the waiver wire. So, they have to denigrate the guy's talent and achievements as he is tearing up the league. You need pitching and your SS isn't very good either. It is a completely fair trade, but they are in a snit that I picked up both guys on the waiver wire. Let them veto the trade. The proof that the trade was fair will be that Pal will be tracking Segura's and Trout's fantasy point totals every week and it will be close. If Trout wins but doesn't win by a blow out, I don't know how they have any argument as SS is a high premium position.

    Scoring System RBI -- 1 pt R -- 1 pt TB -- 1 pt SB -- 1 pt total points measured beginning on Monday. Agreed?

    So, trades have to be exactly equal in your opinion or they should get vetoed? That's just ridiculous. Your argument is far from compelling. If you are so sure that this is a one-side trade, you should have no problem making a side bet on Segura vs. Trout using an agreed upon fantasy point system. I'll take Segura. You take Trout. Nothing extravagant. How about $20?

    A productive Middlebrooks is a must for the Sox to be a playoff contender. Wow, Nava has really produced some power this season. He continues to do a great job.

    Trades that disrupt the competive balance of the leage are the ones that are supposed to get vetoed. We are 2 games apart in the standings and we always play each other to a draw. We will probably be neck and neck with each other right to the end. I guess UN is paranoid being at that top of the standings. He's used to being at the bottom of the heap.
