  1. I am sure that he has done his side work and running, but game conditions are different. Every movement is sudden and explosive. There is conditioning and then there is game conditioning. I would be tempted to bring him in a low leverage situation in his first coupl of appearances so his adrenaline is not too ramped up.
  2. The manager makes out the line up card. If he doesn't have that much authority, then he is little more than an overpaid figurehead. Suit up a bobblehead doll and call it the manger if he can't make out the lineup card. He should be dropping Ells to the bottom and moving everyne up a slot so Ortiz always gets a hack in the first inning. Hopefully Middlebrooks is getting things figured out. We need him to be a force in the middle of the lineip if they want to compete for a playoff spot. Napoli is a wrecking ball but too inconsistent.
  3. I would feel worse if it was a forearm problem instead of a biceps problem. Forearm problems always seem to head straight to TJ. I am concerned that he is going to go from tossing on flat ground to high adrenaline late inning situations after 1 rehab appearance. I have to wonder whether his arm and legs are properly conditioned. I think they need to monitor what is going on who Brian Wilson.
  4. Rodney has reverted to what he was before last season. Tampa thought they could role the dice with him again. They have farnsworth (another inconsistent guy) in reserve if Rodney pitches himself out of the role. Very exciting to pull this one out. Hopefully, Middlebrooks is turning the corner.
  5. If Jenny Dell can ask in the second inning tonight who is the Red Sox MVP to this point in the season, we can discuss this.
  6. Better value Loney or Napoli?
  7. It should never happen because it is terrible. Any lineup for this team that has Ortiz batting 5th is a terrible lineup.
  8. We will be holding our collective breaths when he makes his rehab appearance.
  9. David Ortiz should always get a hack in the first inning. Your best hitter and biggest threat has to bat 3rd. It's that simple.
  10. I think Truman would get along very well with Clint Eastwood.
  11. It's 4th place team that has been playing above its head. The best we can hope for is to stay competitive and make a run at the second wild card. There are going to be a lot of ugly games like this along the way. I may have to adopt Fred's dogs.
  12. He's right on the Mendoza Line after tonight's game. He can't seem to stay over the Mendoza Line.
  13. I think it is on its way to find its own level.
  14. He is the only consistent reliable hitter that we have.
  15. Plus, Moore is going for a tea record tonight. We have been very accommodating lately helping opposing pitchers achieve records.
  16. Ground Rule Double if the OFer gets stuck to the wall?
  17. What about nerf covered with velcro?
  18. Even better. And on Old Timers Day Bob Stanley could pop it like he used to pop all those beach balls during hi playing days.
  19. I do like to stretch my legs ocassionally, but I don't leave the TV during a game.
  20. Remove the RF bullpen wall and replace it with 3 1/2 ft beanbag structure.
