  1. I think Theo was a great GM, I just think that once he left, shoulda just moved on for both sides. I know if that was the situation with the Yankees, I would be embarassed.
  2. I'm cool with it. I'd like to name each category though 1-2/10: DoucheBag 3-4/10: You have touched an actual douchebag before 5-6/10: You wonder what a douchebag feels like
  3. Some Hispanic group wants MLB to retire Cleente's no. 21 cross the board like they did with Jackie Robinson's 42. Personally I think it's a bit of overkill, I mean where would you stop? How about the first Japanese player? Does he get his number retired also? What about the first Polish guy, Canadian, Italian, etc. They gonna run out of numbers soon. besides 21 is also my favorite player's number
  4. nods. He probably saw what happened with the hockey player (Bryan berard?) who got tested cuz he wanted to play for team USA. Olympic testing, it's a b1tch!
  5. ARGH!!!!!!! Missed it by 1. I'm gonna start a fight with like all the Yanke fans and get their asses booted. This will be a not so nice forum in the upcoming days. Sorry yankee fans, we cool and all, but man theres cash.
  6. oh snap! I'm in there like underwear!
  7. got a good point there.
  8. thank you for recognizing my ability to insult Mr. Arroyo twice
  9. well I dont know about his popularity with us, but I'm pretty sure Brandon Arroyo woulda approved
  10. Millar joins his Taco Bell chihuahua brother in obscruity
  11. How about the Quadruple RAAAAys? Better than AAA, not good enough for the majors.
  12. well at least he didnt sign with the Yankees. I think every 2004 Sox player is gonna avoid the Yanks from now on after seeing what happened with Damon
  13. well kid's trying at least.
  14. wait Reggie Freaking Sanders got 3/30???
  15. man your avatar scared the crap outta me. I never noticed the tongue moving before.
  16. man what a steal for the O's. Patterson has so much talent, he just needed to start fresh.
  17. Leiter was great a couple of years ago on ESPN. If YES signs him, I'd consider that an absolutely stellar addition. IMO, he's good enough to be a national voice
  18. I've always believed that Boone was one of those infamous "infielders who suddenly hit 30 HRs" guys that people railed about when discussing the steroids issue
  19. I wonder how that affects the manny talks since Ihad heard in other places that heilman was part of some packages
  20. Exactly, yourself. I was talking about people with familes to support. When you get to that age, you start to realize different things. I dont blame you though, I once was like you too. It's just another phase that one has to pass during the maturation process. You spent money to go see a rebuilding club. If you pay money to go see the Royals, and then come back and complain about how bad the game was and how the team just isn't very good, do you really expect anyone to sympathize with you? You buy a ticket to go see a rebuilding club, you should know what to expect. Therefore, you should not be allowed to boo. You boo a club that should be playing better, you do not boo a club that everyone knows is rebuilding. Not every discussion with a Yankee fan has to turn into a pissing match over who's more "loyal". You can stick to a baseball discussion without launching into a "you're not a good fan spiel". BTW I pay money to go watch and root for the UNIFORM. I have my favorite players, but I dont have enough of a man-crush to pay to watch a so called favorite athele. I dont wanna be the one to tell you that Santa Claus isn't real, but in this day and age, you probably shouldn't get too attached to individual players.
  21. yes, please do that trade. Weaken your lineup.
  22. I rephrased my original argument after a700's post. It isnt aces I was really thinking of, it was big game pitchers. You want someone who can come up big when it matters most, and most of the time it is the best pitcher on your club who is that stopper. Sometimes though that isn't the case (Petite and Rocket), so I get what you're saying
  23. Thats gotta be one of the most optimistic articles I've read in a while.
  24. With the way Hanley was touted and given the fact that we been hearing mark Prior's name in trade rumors, do you think it woulda been better to trade for Mark Prior with a package including Hanley?
