  1. yeah those 24 HRs really gave me hope. Everyone talked about Shane Spencer's September debut, but Maas was the original
  2. Please shoot me if this happens. I will PM you my address
  3. geez you guys type pretty fast
  4. Bam Bam Hensley Meulens, other half of the failed reincarnation of the M&M boys with Kevin Maas. Brien taylor was the Yankees #1 draft pick. lefty with a 95 MPH fastball at age 18. Received a $1.5 million dollar signing bonus. blew out his arm in a bar fight while in the minors, and thats been it. Btw, in this age of google, these types of questions are too easy. Try something harder, like what is the name of the restaurant that WPIX kept showing for a game whenever Matt Nokes came up, and why.
  5. I became a fan of the Yankees when they sucked ass, calm yourself. I even thought Steve Balboni was kinda cool for a while cuz I didn't know any better, so nuff said.
  6. i really cant argue with that, but is it really their strat to stay out of it because of the weak FA market or are they just a step behind?
  7. off track but does anyone here think Heinske was on the juice the year he won teh ROY (or nearly won, I forget). I mean, have you seen teh guy??
  8. yeah Boras must think we're all interested in buying bridges form him if he expects us to buy that Damon had that kind of offer on the table
  9. People who are in SoSH are only interested in preaching to the choir. I personally find better baseball discussion with fans NOT from my team
  10. from the Ortiz-ARod discussion, I thought that according to SOME Red Sox fans, a good bat justifies lack of defense.
  11. i'm sure if Renteria had hit 37 HRs, all would have been forgiven. its just Edgar being Edgar.
  12. Why would you think that of Glaus? The guy came from the AL where outside of his rookie and 2 injury plagued years, he averaged 35+ HR per season. Orlando Hudson's last 3 seasons BA/RBI/Runs/OBP 2003 - .268/57/54/.328 2004 - .270/58/73/.341 2005 - .271/63/62/.315 If that isnt mediocrity...
  13. shrug, he's made enough decent throws to home IMO. I can live with his arm in RF.
  14. great move by the Jays. Giving up a mediocore at best IF, and an inconsistent guy for a 40HR dude. I can't see how anyone can be slamming this deal at all. Great Great move by the Jays
  15. smart FO = recognizing the market price for decent players in this WEAK FA mareket. stupid FO = trying to get people to sign to their deals when there are other higher offers out there, but hey, there's always the year after
  16. he's got a decent enough arm, not one of the best, but it's adequate. I'll be happy with it in RF and if he misses a throw to 3rd every now and then, shrug, I'm wiulling to live with that.
  17. this thread seemed interesting, but quite honestly I don't think I can say anything without a certain new poster taking things too personal and going off again. In the interests of keeping this thread out of fights and crap, I'll keep my mouth shut and let your own RSN brethren tell you in their own polite way that you are wrong. I'd advise that to my other Yankee fans. It's impossible to have a rational discussion right now.
  18. you sound exactly like a lawyer. but yeah, it's pretty retarded arguing about this when this thread is about Damon.
  19. thats cuz it is. I thoguht it didnt felt as bad, then they replayed it on TV while talking about the Damon press conferencxe, I'm still feeling sick about it.
  20. You need to read SImmons' article on ESPN. BTW, money "didn't matter" because they were working a second job in the offseason. They didnt play for peanuts becaus ethey wanted to help the team, thatw as just the salary they were given
  21. well you cauight me, too bad some others arent so good at it
  22. I'm not sure why you feel the need to say that to me. I am merely stating the fact that Damon is more populart so this hurts more than when Bellhorn went to the Yanks.
  23. are you slow or something? Yes I know the difference is he went to the Yankees. Bellhorn went to the Yanks and noone gave a damn. I basically said that Damon was more popular, there was no need for your type of remark.
  24. NY sell outs but good to have you here =)
  25. In other words, Mueller and Pedro were just 2 dollar hoes, but Damon was the guy the fans wanted to marry, so it hurts more that he left them at the altar for the rich guy in town who's always bullying people with his money
