    the 3.63 ERA woulda put alarm bells in my head though. I dont remembver the Toronto contract but wasn't it the richest one for a pitcher at that point in the game? I'm not so sure I woulda pulled the trigger on a fireballer in his 30's coming off an injury. of course, had I known he would be 43 and still chucking 97MPH heat...

    It's amusing that you're the one to bring up anger issues when you'e one of the more abrasive posters I've seen on this board. and yes the Yankees choked in 2004, you only got here a few weeks ago so obviously you don't know my feelings or posts on this subject matter, which I'll forgive since I'm the kind of guy who lets a retarded kid get away with double dribbling. Remind me again why we're talking about this when the whole issue is that you seem to always whining/complaining/bitching about something? Just because I call you out on it doesn't mean I'm angry. This is the internet, it's pretty stupid to get fussy about something on a chat board, but then judging from your previous posts, you probably haven't learned this lesson yet. When you get to legal drinking age, maybe we can have more contructive discussions.

    ugh it disgusts me to say this, but I can understand the FO's logic for those moves, well cept the one for Nomar, and you can see hwo that turned out. Clemens was coming off a bad year I think, Mo has always been too fat for his own good. I didn't think Pedro deserved anything more than a 2 year deal, and I certainly thought the Yankees went overboard in getting Damon (the only positive out off the deal is I get to rub it in for a lil bit to you guys )

    you overreact to almost everything on this board. If you are truly the age you claim to be (which I seriously doubt), then perhaps you should not use this newfangled Internets thing so much since it's probably bad for your blood pressure. You get mad when you see someone has the word ARod in their username and accuse them of making it to purposefully piss off other people when 1) you don't know anything about him, and 2) he has been here for a year longer than you. I expect that kind of imbecilic reaction from a 15year old. Do a better job of acting, and none of us are impressed by your baseball trivia Googling skills.

    Palmiero's contract ran out after he tested positive, Giambi's didn't. Palmiero has to prove himself before another club wil sign him. Giambi doesn't have to prove himself because his contract is guaranteed for the next bazillion years.

    it's comments like these that make me question whether you're really as old as you say you are, and whether you're more interested in dialogue or simply having everything boil down to a shouting match. If you dont like the fact that the admins have yankee fans on this board, andit bothers you so much, I suggest you try going to SoSH or some other board where you can preach to the choir. BTW, I went through losing season after losing season in the late 80's and early 90's, I'm pretty happy with what the team has done in the last 10 years.
