  1. Graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam! Go Other Johnny!!!!
  2. so much for the shut out. Solo shot for mauer
  3. Oh gee Millar grounds out with a RISP ... no kidding
  4. HAHAHA what a disater 3-0 Sox on a hit and 2 errors
  5. That trade is so bad that Theo would have to smoke all the crack in the country before making it. I really like Huff and wanted the Sox to get him last year, but come on. Cameron, and Huff aren't nearly enough for a sure fire HOF with a few good years still left in him. If we're moving Manny I was atleast 2 guys who can help us now and atleast 2 top prospects. I don't understand how we would only get 2 mediocre players for one of the best hitters in the game.
  6. I'm pretty sure that 29 markets hate A-rods guts, not just 3. Theres a big misconception that only Red Sox/Orioles fans hate the Yankees, but in reality most fans that live outside of NY hate the yankees.
  7. a boo fest for Manny. Come on people you're supposed to make him wanna stay, not leave.
  8. Torii Hunter slammed into the wall trying to catch the ball. I think he may have dislocated his shoulder. Actually now they're saying he got his spike caught in the wall and hurt his leg. They're brining the cart out for him.
  9. I doubt anyone would take a risk on Wade. Not really worried about his injury though because he was really just picked up as some insurance incase Curt wasn't ready to go, and now he says he is, so we no longer need Wade this year. That being said, I'd love to have a healthy Wade Miller, but I don't know if the words healthy and Wade Miller will ever be used in the same sentence again.
  10. Wow way too high a price for Wags. I love him and all but giving up a SP the future at 3B and our top C prospect(uselessor not) is way too much, Enless the Sox are really interested in getting the player with the worst fundamentals in the entire league I don't see why they're interested in Lawton. I've never seen one major league player miss this many pop ups in a single season. Lawton is pathetic in RF and may be the worst base runner in the league. Picking up Lawton would be a huge mistake.
  11. Don't forget about the sweep of the Angels in first round. It was basically a sweep, 3 losses, a sweep, and a sweep
  12. I agree with most of your list but flip flop the Angels and A's. I think the Angels are the most complete team in the league right now, and may be on the fast track to another WS birth this year.
  13. I don't think Bellhorn should see the field again. It's been so refreshing being able to go through the lineup without having an automatic strike out in there every 9 hitters.
  14. Right because we put fake blood on his ankle and stuff, and he decided that while making a play against the angels in the playoffs he'd pretend to twist his ankle. God I had stupid Yankee fans just saying stupid things. And if you're going to tell me that you wouldn't feel sorry if a guy who gets hit in the head because of something he's done in the past then you don't derseve to live.
  15. Arguing balls and strikes to me does more harm than good. Last night Papi stepped out on a 1-2 count to yell at the ump about the call. Now what sense does that make? Do you think you're going to get the next call, after you tell him he's blind and can't make a call? No? Then why are you arguing with him in the first place. Leave the arguing to the coaches.
  16. Yes it does actually. Every time Dan Marino's name is brought up someone is talking about how he could never win the big one. Derek Jeter on the other hand is an example of a guy who is way too over hyped because of his championships. His BA in the post season is somewhere in the low .200's. He has something like 46 post season RBI's in 400+ ABs. Derek Jeter is about 1/10th as good as he's made out to be, so to answer your question, yes championships credit/discredit a players accomplishments in some way or another. As far as the whole A-rod thing goes. Enjoy it while you can Yankee fans. Enjoy seeing his name at the top of all these lists, and blah blah blah, but remember one thing. Albert Pujols is 25 years old, and if A-rod breaks any records, Pujols will be right behind him to break them again.
  17. I don't think Randy Winn would be a bad fit in CF for the Yankees. He gives them some speed at the top of the lineup and has a lot more range than bernie does out there in center. However, I don't see how the Yankee's can keep morgaging the future. You're starved for SPs, Moose is old, RJ is old, KB is old, Leiter is old, Pavano is hurt, Wright is always hurt. Now looking at that pitching staff the last thing I'm worried about is getting a CFer. I would be trying to acquire some young pitching, even if it couldn't help me until next year. Now I understand how the Yankees are run, and I guess for the here and now it's a good trade if the Yanks only give up a SP prospect.
  18. Good win aside from schills BB.
  19. Great base running by rents ... another one of the little things he does for this team.
  20. I think we found our new Dave Roberts
  21. Could this have been a blessing in disguise? If Hammer is as healthy as they're telling us he is, and he's going to make his next start then this may have been a good thing. Maybe it brings this team a little closer together. Maybe Manny realizes how much this team means to him. Who knows, but seeing a healthy Hammer on the mound in a week would be truly amazing. Best Case: We catch fire and maybe run away with the division. Worst Case: Hammer comes back ... goes 16-5 and helps us get to the playoffs.
  22. They said on ESPN radio that Clement told his father he will make his next start. He has nothing more than a head ache and a sore neck. STOP ... HAMMER TIME  *dances*
  23. I think I want Schilling pitching atleast a simulated game before I even consider putting him back in the rotation. Schilling is a starter and he wants to start, so naturally he's gonna say he can. He's probably believed he could when he came back but agreed to go to the bullpen to fill in for Foulke. I want Schilling back in the rotation more than anyone but only when he's really ready.
  24. The Bruins are the only team in the league in better shape than the Pens in terms of being ready for all the FAs. I think you guys only have 5 players signed for small money, and we have 7. We have Mario, Recchi and Crosby. Without FAs we're in pretty good shape and after adding 2 or 3 I think we have a chance to win the Cup this year, but it depends who we get. This is pretty much a fantasy draft. Every team will have new players that the fans have heard of. More teams will be competitive. I think if there was anyway to get the fans back to hockey it was taking the year off and fixing it. August 1st starts Free Agency I think.
