  1. If Roger coming back to the Sox means i have to listen to discussion about him being the best pitcher ever then I'll take a pass.
  2. Reason #1 that no one wants to play in NY. If you're not in Joe's cliq ... you don't get PT. Loyalty is good to an extent, but Joe takes it a little too far.
  3. I can understand saying at the SS position but Billy Ballgame stood on his head at 3B last year. He had 11 errors, but take into consideration that atleast 3 of them happened during the week he was having an arm problem. If Lowell is an upgrade over Ballgame defensivly it is only a minimal upgrade.
  4. I'm also more comfortable with someone who I know can be the long term answer in center, but it sure seems like everyone thinks this lineup is going to be better than it was last year. I think Loretta, could be, a huge upgrade over what we got out of Rents in the 2 hole last year, but Coco is an obvious step back from Damon, so if anything it evens out. I'm just saying lets not get too excited.
  5. Sorry but not even close Damon Jeter Arod Sheffield Giambi Theres a chance for 100-200 HRs just out of their top 5. NOTE: Guys I know we got Coco and we're all excited, but lets stop pretending he's going to make this lineup better than it was with Damon.
  6. You can't really choke unless you're set up to win ... and with the Yankees pitching staff ... I don't think they are set up to beat anyone.
  7. Two things. JJ is going to have a very successful NBA career. He's not going to be the headliner for any team, but he's going to be a great compliment to whatever team he goes to's #1. As for the screens JJ gets. JJ get atleast one screen every play, but he still has to get himself open, by himself, almost every time he gets the ball. A screen can only take out 1 defender, and JJ is always doubled, if not triple teamed. The 3 point line is what ... 1 foot closer in college than it is the NBA? And JJ has been known to knock down 3's 2 steps past half court. If anything is going to hurt his pro career it's not the 3 point line being a foot further out.
  8. Well when you're 7 foot tall and theres no one else over 6'8" in the league, and theres no 3 in the key ... ya I could score 50 points too.
  9. It's a nice lineup but we're not going to be able to out slug the Yankees this year. We need to worry about pitching. If we win this division it'll be because of pitching ... not our lineup.
  10. More like after he wins 6.
  11. What the f*** 3 page discussion could possibly have gone on with this topic. This needs to be locked. This whole thread is spam.
  12. Hahaahhahahahaaaaahhahhahahhahahahahahahhahahhaahhaha        ... wait wait .... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAAHAAAAAAAHAHAHA Before I go change my pants I'll just say ... anyone who thinks Kobe is even worthy of lacing Jordan's shoes should be taken out back, and beaten with the largest blunt object handy. MJ is a GOD ... Kobe is just a great player.
  13. It's probably just weed. What a jackass.
  14. According to who?
  15. I hear Rocket was there to cut the ribbon, but he was using a shattered bat to do so. When asked about it he said he thought it was a pair of scissors.
  16. Well of course a Yankee fan would think so.
  17. Let's not pretend that Kobe wanted to score 81 points for any other reason than to hear "Kobe scored 81" all over the media the next day. He tried to pretend he cared about the win but he quickly said "my ankle hurt" and "I was tired" to make his 81 points seem all that much better. Kobe is just like TO except the FO chose him over Shaq. This would be exactly like the Eagles trading Donovan McNabb for Tommy Maddox.
  18. If the NBA is about superstars then can you explain how The Pistons are the best team in the game without a superstar?
  19. Alex Gonzalez is hardly a building block for a franchise. He's an average SS. There's no reason to be excited about him.
  20. My ******* knows more about baseball than Buster Olney I'm so tired of people on ESPN pretending like they talked to someone just because they need a story. Buster didn't talk to anyone.
  21. I don't think Mello or Dwade are going to get much better from here on out. They may learn more about the game, but they're definatly in their physical prime. Considering theres not much to learn about the NBA game besides ... there is no traveling, and you don't have to pass *cough* Kobe, they probably wont get a whole lot better. So I believe they're both in their prime.
  22. If you want to post stats put them inside [*Code][/Code*] (minus the *'s)
  23. I do think Coco is set to have a breakout year this year, but I didn't even think Marte for Coco straight up was a good deal. So if they want Delcarmen too forget it. This has been a horrible offseason, aside from 1/3rd of 1 trade(beckett). Let's not make it worse by getting Matos, or Michaels. If we can't get Coco for a reasonable price, I'd rather just suffer without a CFer for a year than take Michaels or Matos. Michaels is horrible, he has an absolutly horrible attitude, and he beats up cops. Matos is completely average across the board, if not below average. I understand that we need a CF, but whatever the price is for Michaels, and Matos it's too high unless they're asking for a warm dog turd.
