  1. Im sorry for picking on your team. I know you and mommy put forth a ton of effort hanging all those posters on your wall, and you still love to wear your Redsox jammies.
  2. Redsox Yankees........ Sunday Night Baseball prime time game...... 24 replies.... Nobody gives a s***, and I love it. In addition, Josh Beckett is a piece of s***. I TOLD YOU ALL!!!!!! Too bad nobody wanted to listen back then.
  3. He should have gotten this taken care of months ago. The season was over since day 1.
  4. Why is he still starting?
  5. ...so they gave him away. We couldn't give away Salty instead? Both are worth nothing.
  6. The jacksoniantroll: Based on a true story.
  7. Forgetting Salty Macchia (forgetting Sarah Marshall)
  8. Fatman Returns (Batman reference )
  9. No. A "Ace" is sure thing. A "Ace" is consistent. A "Ace" is reliable. He is anything but those things. He is a incredibly talented pitcher that has more ups and downs than an engine piston.
  10. Yes. I will never forget where I was when I heard that interview.......not to compare it in any way, but I get the same flashback about 9/11. I know exactly where I was and what I was doing. That interview was when I really started to understand how f***ed this franchise was........
  11. There is already a book about this years RedSox team. The worst team money could buy, the 1992 Mets. http://www.amazon.com/Worst-Team-Money-Could-Buy/dp/0803278225/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1345134899&sr=1-1&keywords=the+worst+team+money+could+buy
  12. This wasn't Bobby V's fault. Lucchino, Beckett, Lackey, Salty, the Bard experiment, Papelbon, the offseason, the trade deadline, spring training, the public relations, the front office.........this extends well beyond a baseball manager, which is the most overrated coaching position in sports. The worst part is.....instead of just fixing the problem last offseason, the problem has rooted itself right in the middle of our beloved franchise......these problems aren't going away with the certain firing of Bobby V. There is no bridge year......this is what they have slowly become.
  13. You dont actually still think he is a SP do you? We will be lucky if he gets back to the level he was at prior to the disaster.
  14. You know I hate Beckett right? It was sarcastic.
  15. Can we just release him already? Why didn't we trade him at the deadline again?
  16. Beckett looked sharp tonight. 8 ER last time out. 6 ER tonight. Good stuff.
  17. C: Salty 1B: Dick Stuart 2B: Jose Offerman SS: Edgar Renterria 3B: Butch Hobson LF: Manny Ramirez CF: Carl Everett RF: Troy O'Leary
  18. YES!!! THEY TRADED A CATCHER TO MAKE WAY FOR LAVARNWAY...... f***!!!!! they traded the wrong one.
  19. They are a disaster. Far too many of these stories come out far too often. Where this is smoke there is fire. Don't be so blind. In addition, I defended Pedroia quite a bit earlier this year and fought with the sawxhead guys about it (pumpsie most often I believe). Pedroia has since added himself to the list of players that this team needs to flush out.
  20. SFF, are you really going to defend them????? After all the ******** that has happened in the last year? You are really going to defend this piece of s*** baseball team? Keep the faith man, keep buying bricks and coffee table books.....keep buying those monster seats and jerseys......everything is a-ok. Wake up.
  21. I mean, I knew this team would be an epic disaster.......I knew it from day one. .......they are embarrassing now. Im embarrassed to root for this team.
  22. BOGAERTS is a career .939 defender at SS in the minors. Jose Offerman who once committed 42 errors in a single season and was regarded as a butcher at SS had a career FP of .943 at SS. Offerman also blows him away in range factor. Bogaerts is a terrible SS. Iglesias is a .571 OPS player in AAA. I dont care if hes Ozzie Smith with the glove, thats f***ing terrible. Pitchers have higher OPS's.
  23. .....and Salty. Its pretty clear that none of them are comfortable throwing to him. The numbers are drastically better throwing to Shoppach. I wonder where they would be if Shoppach were the starting catcher and those numbers were stretched across a full season. Beckett gets most of the blame....like 50%, but Salty is right behind at 35% with management at 15%.
  24. Replacing a bad option with a worse one isn't a good solution. Iglesias will never be a good solution, so what does it matter? Valencia doesn't make them better, but neither does Iglesias.....nor does sticking with Aviles. If you want a solution at SS, they need to find one other than what they have. Boeggarts isnt a SS. EDIT:.......and Valencia is actually a better offensive player than Iglesias. Much better. You would drool if Iglesias had Velencia's minor league numbers.
