He will never be a big league hitter. His slugging is lower than his OB%.....do you know how bad of an offensive player you had to be to have that happen? People talked about Darnell McDonald like he was the worst offensive baseball player ever. He slugged .369 with an .309 OBP. Iglesias is slugging .289 with an OB% of .301........and even with that, we are comparing AAA to MLB. He is actually WORSE than Darnell Mcdonald. He sucks.

    In order: Beckett Lackey Salty Punto and Melancon are nothing players. They are not the reason for the mess. Crawford isn't worth his contract, but hes not the problem that Beckett, Lackey or Salty are. Beckett and Lackey are poison....and Salty isn't a catcher. The pitching staff has been murdered for the last 2 years when he starts a game. Using catcher ERA (and I know its not the best stat, but there are some consistencies). 2011 Salty...........4.63 Varitek........3.56 2012 Salty...........4.60 Shoppach....3.72 Weird....

    Yeah.....and its too easy on my end. You blindly defend an ******* not worth the money or the trouble he brings. On and off the field hes a completely unprofessional *******, only now....his performance doesn't give him the same leeway. I've told the story 100 times, but the best man in my wedding worked for the grounds crew in the bullpen for 3 years.........he saw the real Josh Beckett on a daily basis.

    No your right. Its always bad luck and coincidence. Over/under someone seeing him playing golf tomorrow? Nahhhhhh there would be no way he would be that unprofessional. ....and if he does, shame on us for judging him. He only has 18 off days a year right?

Like I said, it kept getting worse and I couldn't throw a strike. Oh boy, he missed 56 games in 2010 with that injury.

    How have you managed to not get yourself banned? No, its BC's fault that he didn't trade him. How funny is this though.....that cancer goes out there a midst trade rumors and gives all of Boston a big "f*** you" with "back spasms" a mere hours after the trade deadline. Doesn't shock me one bit, this is what Josh Beckett is all about.
