No. It was in the offseason when they did nothing to improve.

I complained all offseason....and the beginning of the year about how bad they were going to be. They cared more about luxury tax and saving a couple bucks by dealing Marco Scutaro.

We are going to be 3 or 4 games under .500 after the next 2 series. Those teams are going to rip apart our pitching staff.

I always thought he was one of those guys that the FO hyped the crap out of, but didn't have the talent....like a Donnie Sadler, Steve Lomasney or Michael Coleman. After they dealt him I was sad to see the production he had for MIA. ......there is no doubt he is talented, but I want his personality/attitude nowhere near the Sox clubhouse. SFF, they arent trading for Johnson.....you are going to be disappointed.

There is no pickle.....and the Sox should absolutely NOT attempt to acquire another 3rd or 4th rotation starter at the sacrifice of our already thin farm system. Sell. Get some young talent back and get rid of these clubhouse diseases.

Yeah. The issue is Salty, not whether or not Varitek made a difference. He is gone, time to move on and address the real issue, our current catcher situation.

No. Are they going to bring him back if they suck in 20 years as a 60 year old backup? The thought of bringing back a broken down catcher who cant hit, run or throw speaks volumes about Salty. They don't need to bring back Varitek, they just need to find a real catcher.

4 out of his 7 seasons here have been average to bad. What does that make him? Let me guess, hes just unlucky right?

Hes not a prospect. His talent will not change. He is below average. He is what he is. Manny Ramirez lead all of baseball in OF assists while playing in LF at Fenway. Was he a good LF?

I dont understand why people keep going back and forth with it. They aren't very good, its ok for people to admit it. They have been .500 over the last CALENDER year. Stop worrying about a 5th playoff spot. They have no shot at winning anything, and settling for the 5th playoff spot is pathetic. Boy have our expectations changed around here. Play the kids, trade the guys we can deal in 10 days....and lets see what we have to work with next year. Starting guys like Cook over Morales is ridiculous and extremely short sighted.
