Celtics traded Delonte West, Wally Sczcerbiak and the #5 pick (Jeff Green) for Ray Allen and a 2nd round pick (Big Baby). We basically have all those players now. Except Wally obviously who's out of the NBA

We don't need a swingman. We needed a SF. We have Delonte who can play the 1 or 2. We needed a 3. Green was playing out of position at the 4 for OKC. It solved that need an d opened a hole in another. I'm not thrilled but I think we may be ok.

Anyone recall this quote from a a week or two ago about how Terry Francona was a "tool" and how the excitement of the 2011 Red Sox compares to the 2000 Sacremento Kings when they had Vlade Divac and Chris Webber. They would have won if they weren't jobbed by the refs and Tim Donaghy. The whole rant was hilarious.

I don't understand the difference whether a guy is a 5 tool player or not in the #3 position. I don't think defense really plays a factor where a guy bats. As long as you put the guy with the best OPS in the #3 spot you're all set.

Is there room for more? Fantasy baseball is my thing I have been commish for a league with my friends 5 years running now I am very active. Although I never win - 4 #1 seeds and 4 second place finishes. I am the Buffalo Bills of fantasy baseball.

How about a Yankees jersey that just says "Derek Cheater" on the back #2 and a syringe on the front incorporated into the yankees logo. The fact that it's a flat out lie makes it 1000X awesome.

Baseball games are still the most fun sporting events to attend. Honestly, like any sporting event you're going to know less about what is truly going on as opposed to a TV or even radio broadcast. You really feel out of the loops in regards to knowing about an injury, umpiring decision, or any tactics that are pretty straight forward but not as obvious if an announcer isn't drawing your attention to such facts such as matchups, substitutions or keeping track of who is warming up in the bullpen. Unless you've never been to Fenway I would never pay for more than 75 bucks for a ticket unless it was a lifetime opportunity to sit behind home plate, near the on-deck circle or possibly monster seats (although I've been told these are no better than glorified bleacher seats.) You're always better off knowing when tickets go on sale and getting them directly through the team or ticketmaster. StubHub/AceTicket are all ripoffs and I've vowed I will never use those sites.

In terms of BABIP, Beckett and Lackey along with Jenks had odd years. You'd expect bounce backs. Looking at the stats I'm a bit worried because Bard's season was apparently a little lucky.

You should get Monster seats. Never been up there but seems like those have a little bit of room up there. Can anyone confirm this for me?

More and more guys showing up early. 4 out of out 5 starters have already shown up before pitchers and catchers report. Lester (along with Paps) was a couple days ago. And yesterday, Lackey, Dice-K and Beckett all showed up in what Theo said "great shape." Looks like everyone including the Sox are excited to start the season. Man I can't wait until opening day.

That's the way it works in baseball and in most companies. You'd agree that Pujols is easily the best player in the game. He's marginally better but since he's the top of the food chain he will get a much substantially bigger contract. 30m/yr vs 23-25m/yr. You're right though. Given the reality of what they will produce for their actual team and the difference between that in terms of wins and losses, I'd prefer A-Gon easily.

I think the Bulls are better than the Heat right now. IMO. They could beat Celtics in a 7 game series. But ultimately if Celtics are healthy I think they take the east.
