  1. may did an awesome job there last night arod2212
  2. arod2212, ahem i have the stats right here for your might yanks. 2005 Sox have outhit 121 - 94 more importantly, sox have outscored yanks 86 - 45
  3. clement did pitch the first 17-1 win as well
  4. our bullpen proved that. halamma and gonzalez pitched perfectly in the 8th and 9th, combing with wells on allowing ny on 5 hits and one measly run
  5. hey everyone i am just waking up this morning, a lil hung over, but hey a night for celebrating it was. I had just went to the best red sox game ever in my life . I had right field box seats, so yea i was thinking oh yes i got row 5 from the field. But oh thank the f***ing lord, because row E is actually the front row!!! during the game I just had like my arms rested across the wall, me and my friends taunting "sheffroids" even more as the score tallied up. To be that close was unreal, even got to be on camera when ruben sierra almost had hit a homerun by the peskys pole but was ruled fouled. Best moment by far while trot and wells were talking and stretching before the game, Trot actually came over to talk the fans and wow he shook my hand, very cool moment
  6. you do realize the 17-1 defeat was pitched by last year's ace for the Marlins, Carl Pavano
  7. actually dude obviously dont know the sox all the well. besides timlin, Mike Myers is a very reliable pitcher to the sox to get out the lefties, just a 2.6 ERA
  8. obviously his fastball has been reaching jackshit, this season an 0-5 record ERA over 9
  9. um kevin youkilis will be the starting 3rd baseman for 2006 , no question--francona hasnt played him that much for 2005, and thats why youk was sent back to pawtucket
  10. you do know that sox gave up a top prospect to clear up some present problems they had? and that was Mark Teixeria, now star 1st baseman for the texas rangers
  11. if last year on the trade deadlin date was any indication, im expecting a good shakeup of the roster with hopefully cuts of embree and halamma entailed
  12. sanchez has been promoted to pawtucket. i just saw lester pitch in the AA all star game for portland
  13. im not sure entirely with hanley, cuz hes been toted by far as the top red sox prospect. he plays shortsop, and edgar had said he wouldnt mind learning a new position, but to where is the question since pedroia is gearing up to take over second base next season. hanley has been known though to play well in the outfield. Edgahh is goin nowhere as of now since december he signed that big $40 million 4 year contract
  14. jon lester knows how to throw the heat, his last start was a complete game, allowing only one hit, and striking out 14, yes please boot off halamma and embree--and call up lester and youkilis
  15. is it just me but does bellhorn look like Booger from the "nerds" series of movies?
  16. besides with soriano, sox would have to give something up big. back when sox pursuing a-rod, i was watching espn baseball, and they had mentioned sox tried to trade manny for a-rod, my jaw just dropped. thank god for that not falling through. Alfonso does have the offense and defense sox need, its just he is a not "red sox" type of guy
  17. well look at it this way he will get a taste of the majors at the end of the season. then in 2006, the spring training games, he will have a better idea of what to do when he goes for the starting second baseman nod
  18. yeah just hes gotta work on his first inning. so far hes averaging 20-35 pitches in first inning of each game, plus has allowed so far 12 runs scored in 1st innings of the games alone
  19. i see bellhorn staying thru rest of 2005 season, and if cora doesnt do anything like he has done so far, sox should make a switch by sending cora to the minors and dustin pedroia up as the new backup.
  20. matt clement was their best free agent signing end of last year by far, as it stands our ace with a 10/2 record, true i liked at first them signing wade miller, but "liked at first" is key phrase, hes given me nothing to cheer about and each game im expect him to last 5 innings at the most.
  21. bronson is the type of guy you can bring in when your starting pitcher was only able to last 5 innings or less, the long reliever, than arroyo can give your team 3 innings then let the setup and closer picthers come in
  22. seeing sheffield get jammed on just about every pitch bradford threw, very cool to see
  23. very so, plus like stern he gives the sox another "dave roberts" type of speedster--tito did last night what he shoudlve been doin a lot this season, callin in a pinch hitter for bellhorn, too bad tho gordon got olerud to ground out though
  24. i was looking at his stats and already he has given up 33 runs scored--last year he appeared in 71 games, giving up total 28 runs!!
  25. i think bellhorns confidence has gone down even moreso since they signed alex cora, rumors on nesn and radio, etc. talking about bellhorn's time could be cut down with alex cora coming on board. his batting average continues drop and with 0-3 stint last night, is now at season low .218
