  5. • 0-1, 2.45 ERA vs. BOS in 2005 that might look good for Oakland, but Danny Haren's ERA vs Boston this season in one game hides the fact of the putrid defense at the time behind him he gave up 6 Runs (1 Earned)---I was at that game, great for a Sox fan to be at, 13-5 score in favor of the Sox with homers by Trot and Millar (1st of the season)

  9. White Sox is having the "1978 Red Sox Syndrome" this month, they are currently behind the Twins in the 4th inning 4-0. If Cleveland wins tonight, it will be cut to a 3 1/2 lead, they used to hold a 15 game lead on the Guardians
  10. it was still just one out and what if yabu didnt hit manny, that still doesnt mean sox wouldnt have walked off with the win
  11. Chacin, Chacon on Re-Match Collision Course New York (84-62) at Toronto (72-74), 4:07 p.m. ET The Blue Jays scored seven unanswered runs but came up short against the Yankees, 11-10, on Friday in the first game of a three-game series at the Rogers Centre. Left-hander Gustavo Chacin will take the mound for Toronto on Saturday. The rookie is 1-3 in his last eight starts, but he has gone 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in two outings in September. In his last start, Chacin picked up a no-decision after allowing two runs in 7 2/3 innings in Tampa Bay on Sept. 10. Chacin will be making his second start this season against New York's Shawn Chacon. 15. still your own team has questions about the bullpen
  16. idea of mine is for tito to move rent down in the order, he might hit better. put Tony G in the #2 spot 1. Johnny Damon cf 2. Tony Graffanino 2b 3. David Ortiz dh 4. Manny Ramirez lf 5. Kevin Millar/John Olerud 1b 6. Trot Nixon rf 7. Jason Varitek c 8. Edgar Renterria ss 9. Bill Mueller 3b

  18. Suppan was with the Red Sox from 95 - 97. In 1997 he started 22 games with a 7-3 record but with a high 5.69 ERA. Then came back in 2003 and appeared in 11 games, going 3-4 still with a high 5.57 ERA. He didnt get "lights out" until he went to the National League. yes Dimitri Young is a great hitter. but still Id like a Paul Konerko or Aubrey Huff, not just because of their hitting but their solid D they would bring, why do you think Young is used 80% of the time as a DH
  19. he is also second to Clement's 140 Ks (Wake now has 138) he also has the lowest ERA at 4.07 leads wins at 15, still has a chance to be a 18 game winner
  20. tomorrow night it will be arroyo, i like to call him jekyll & hyde haha Bronson Arroyo vs A's in 4 games: 1-1 record with a 5.31 ERA Danny Haren vs Red Sox in 1 game: 0-1 record with a 2.45 ERA
  21. my picks as of right now in playoffs Game 1- Wakefield (he has been the ace in this second half) Game 2- Schilling Game 3- Wells Game 4- Clement
  22. best pitcher & star of the game: Tim Wakefield with his 4th straight game of 8 innings or more In September a 1-1 record with an ERA of just 1.73 tonight 9 innings, 7 Hits, 2 Runs, 1 Walk, 5 Ks best offense: Papi with his 43rd HR, Tony G being clutch with leadoff double, and haha Manny with the walkoff hit by pitch dishonorable mention: offense had their chances while wake was pitching, it shouldnt have been an extra innings game best defense: edgar johnny oddly going through the pop-up let A's tie up the game
  23. if not for the offense though, yanks game and this one, Wake would be a 17 game winner right about now
  24. manny stepped up in a big way, got hit, works for me!!!!!!!!
  25. intentional walk to deal with manny with 1 out, eek he does ground into a number of double plays
