  1. good to have you here, so far im thinking moreso the final series at fenway park could very well be the deciding games of who gets the AL East. Yankees have just caught the Sox not in a pitching slump, but really moreso a rare offensive slump
  2. if this is true, what does this hold in store for Youkilis? Will Billy still be the starter, with Youk as backup or vice versa? Do Sox plan to go with the rumors of starting Youk at 1st base? Or could Youk be dealt this offseason?
  3. from USA today
  4. hmm... Carlos Delgado is a career .246 hitter in 73 games at Fenway Park Carlos Beltran in 19 games bats at .325 at the Fens
  5. his shoulder was hurt in triple A pawtucket, for now he can just pinch run
  6. Note: dont act like its just me saying that. Its been said many a times on ESPN, Fox sports, during basesball games, you name it really. In 1991 with the White sox he hit 10 HRs, in 1992 with the Cubs he hit 8 HRs. then all of a sudden in 1993 (same year Raffy started hot hitting 37 of his own) Sosa belted 33 balls out of the park!! He never hit under 20 HRs until this season
  7. he's just scared Arod wont get it, aww
  8. god dude, you know I had went to last night's game and stay for the whole 9 innings, so Im already in a pissed off mood so Im more than willing to show you the stats. by the way its funny how you single out May with his high 354 batting avg just because you think 12 RBIs is low for that month, ass. heres the Sox's top of the Order April Johnny Damon- 15 RBIs Edgar Renterria- 10 RBIs May Johnny Damon- 9 RBIs Edgar Renterria- 12 RBIs June Johnny Damon- 16 RBIs Edgar Renterria- 9 RBIs July- Johnny Damon- 9 RBIs Edgar Renterria- 5 RBIs August- Johnny Damon- 16 RBIs Edgar Renterria- 20 RBIs September- Johnny Damon- 6 RBIs Edgar Renterria- 6 RBIs
  9. patriots vs Panthers- ESPN's favorite to be the Super Bowl Champs my ass Baltimore vs Tennesse Buffalo vs Tampabay Detroit Vs Chicago Jacksonville Vs Indianapolis (same as Pittsburgh ) Minnesota Vs Cincinatti Pittsburgh Vs Houston (what can I say I want Pats to have homefield advantage ) San fransisco Vs Eagles (thats if Donovan McNabb has sit this one down) Atlanta Vs Seattle ST. Louis Vs Arizona Clevland VS greenbay Miami VS New York Jets San Diego Vs Denver Kansas City vs Oakland New York Giants vs New Orleans Washington Vs Dallas
  10. Olerud can just be a backup player, his legs arent that strong for him to start each game
  11. obviously you go off assumptions again and say that he just had one good month, again you are wrong May: .354 avg, 4 Doubles, Triple, 2 Hrs, 12 RBIs, 16 Runs, 6 Walks, 2 SBs July: .274 avg, 3 Doubles, 5 RBIs, 17 Runs, 16 Walks, 2 SBs August: .342 avg, 13 Doubles, HR, 20 RBIs, 21 Runs, SB
  12. Toronto's Josh Towers rips on Ortiz, think he's just sour because he was hit with the loss http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Baseball/MLB/Toronto/2005/09/15/1218220-sun.html
  13. Well, the same thing Don Orsillo does when the opposing team hits a HR or does an outstanding defensive play.
  14. and what'd i say to you, that no one cares, especially me, what you think about him of course you'll just pass off that Rent is coming off of a great offensive month of August
  15. first off, your opinion doesnt matter after ripping time and time again Edgar and Francona, now you have to go for Billy Ballgame? Yea he kind of won the MLB batting title in 03. Besides that assine stuff to argue about, and you're ripping the gold glove defense he's had this year?? thats right gold glove, which by the way IMO he is in the list of candidates being considered this season to win that prestigous award. Youkilis really doesnt need to do 1st base rest of this season with Millar and Olerud starting to really contribute with their great offense, and Petagine as the other 1st base backup on the bench. Of his 135 hits he's had 8 HRs, 32 Doubles, 3 Triples He has the highest batting avg in the mlb with bases loaded (even been said on ESPN several times). 10 hits in 19 at bats (.526 avg) Double, 18 RBIs let alone with RISP, he has had 42 hits in 125 at bats (.336 avg) 10 Doubles, Triple, HR, 45 RBIs, 18 Walks by the way those numbers would be considered clutch, ass
  16. thats why Remy just recently won an award for sports announcer of the year
  17. (1) Its a f***ing station owned by the Red Sox (2) Ive watched YES before and all they do is hype up Yankees, announcers sound so down when the other team hits a homerun, "that ball is hooking foul, foul, foul, seeee ya a 2 run shot for jorge cantu"
  18. actually the announcers Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy are great guys, funny s***, very informative of the game, I hope they stay on board for a long time, and most especially when I watch homeruns I dont have to hear they say something like "Seeee Yaaa" . Pre-Game reports are great to watch as well with NESN analysts and reporters Tom Caron, Eric Frede, the hot Hazel Mae, former Angels player Gary DiSarcina, Hall of Famers Dennis Eckersley and Jim Rice, even former Red Sox player Dave McCarty will get some more time on the pre games in the near future. Never once will I roll my eyes in disgust or anything
  19. ah well Yanks win, but hey now just 17 games left with a 2.5 game lead. I will be at tomorrow night's game Schil against the A's, return of Johnny Damon, give a deserved standing ovation to Jay Payton, I was a fan of his the short time he was with the Sox
  20. A-Rod continues being mr. clutch, popping out to pitcher with the bases loaded and 2 outs-- 1 for 6 tonight
  21. Sturtze is brought on into relief and hits first batter he faces, Jorge Cantu, Aubrey Huff is up now with runners on the corners and 2 outs--runner on 3rd will tie this one up
  22. sadly with most great wins must come a negative, get better Kap, it was great to see you come and reclaim your position, even for a short while. Hope to see you back playing games with the Sox in Spring Training 06
  23. Timlin with the way of the K helps close out the 2 out of 3 series win against the Blue Jays
