  1. if anyone had read the whole article youd see ken rosenthal pointed out the red sox wouldnt just be getting prior
  2. what the hell are you talking about? Myself included, I have really not seen much posts about us getting a 1st round pick. It doesnt matter much to me really. Please show posts of people saying on here that say "us getting that pick will make us FAR better than the Yankees."
  3. um natsfan, no offense, but why dont you try posting anything other than copying and pasting the same post?
  4. I was overlooking stats, and the stats would say Loretta could be an option to bat lead off, he holds a career .299 batting avg with a .365 OBP when leading off. Lugo as the #2, where has been more productive. Career .288 batting avg with .345 OBP
  5. Im with you there... considering he averages 20+ errors a season. Not exactly an improvement over Rent
  6. Id welcome Glaus to the Red Sox. Capable of 40Hrs/100+ RBIs and since Manny probably wont involved in these talks, that would give Boston a nice 1-2-3 punch 3. Ortiz 4. Ramirez 5. Glaus The Diamondbacks want pitching: David Wells or Matt Clement to them perhaps
  7. I think we are allowed to vent about another sox cult hero of ours joining the arch rival team.
  8. Id glady give them back Clement
  9. According to the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers will have to step up their negotiations for Millwood because Scott Boras has relayed there is a 4 year/$40 million offer on the table from an undisclosed team... Hmmm http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/baseball/rangers/stories/122105dnsporangerslede.1f17d25.html
  10. Its been couple of days since Damon has officially said goodbye to Boston. So 2 days after losing their center fielder means the trade is going nowhere? that makes sense. This deal is still alive as a possibility, until I hear otherwise from a credible source.
  11. Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports talked about a trade possibility, that mind you is as he reported a longshot. A 3 team trade involving the Sox, Cubs, and Orioles Cubs get Miguel Tejada Orioles get Manny Ramirez Red Sox get Mark Prior, shortstop Cedeno, and center fielder Corey Patterson
  12. Its breaking news on ESPN's cold pizza that Dungy's 18 year old son has been found dead. I'll relay more details as they are brought forward. Wow I cant even imagine what Tony Dungy is going through right now. ----------------------
  13. I would take this deal, its just who is agent is: Scott Boras blah. He has aksed teams starting from where AJ Burnett had gotten, 5 years/$55 million. A signing of Millwood would of course see the trades of Wells and Clement or Arroyo Curt Schilling Josh Beckett Kevin Millwood Tim Wakefield Jonathan Papelbon
  14. ok Lucchino has said even though Damon is gone, the Sox are still exploring trade options for Manny... yea that makes sense
  15. as i had said, its a work in progress. Minky and Grudz will give them a more solidified infield, and Reggie gives them some more pop if he can stay healthy. It sucks for them to be in the same divsion as the reigning White Sox, the surging Guardians, and the Twins. They could have a chance at the least to hop over the Tigers in the division standings.
  16. I must say the Royals are gearing up for a major upgrade over what they had this past season. 20 game losing streak in particular anyone? A work in progress considering the division they are in.
  17. notice how i said graffanino or loretta. I dont know why right away you would be suggesting this would harpen the infield defense. Heres a quote from Boston.com
  18. He is just 24 and 2005 was his first full season in the majors, and thats how a lot of players are like when the first come up. Take David Wright for example. With age and experience, its something that should improve.
  19. as for center field, it will most likely be done in a trade. The shortstop situation can easily be fixed as Loretta or Graffanino shifting over to that position. Personally Id take that over Alex Gonzalez or Julio Lugo any day of the week.
  20. Damon told Tom Caron that all of his now former Sox teammates he has talked to, they all agree its the right decision for him to go to the Yankees oh yeah right Damon, Im sure they want you to join their biggest rival. Give me a break and stop trying to sway things your way.
