  1. I agree -- he's no idiot. Not in terms of his knowledge about steroids, anyway. This is a subject I've figured him to be very credible in, all along. His book goes into entirely too much detail to be made up, in my opinion.
  2. Has he always had a 55 gallon drum for a head? And no... it's not true. A cheater is a cheater, as I said before.
  3. They can't get him for perjury. They have no proof, that he ever took steroids before the hearings.
  4. http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/8699572Palmeiro's positive test strong steroid, paper reports It was, supposedly, stanozolol, which isn't found in any dietary supplements. Really makes it difficult to believe that he accidentally ingested them.
  5. Yes... it would be. A cheater is a cheater. Must your argument for everything be... "Well, if it was a Sox player..."?
  6. The Heat looking great on paper... but what the hell were they thinking? They were in the Finals last year if not for an injury to shaq. I think it's a bad trade for them. Look for Shaq complaining about touches at some point.
  7. If he's bigger now than he was at the beginning of the season -- it's steroids. It has to be. You can't add muscle during the season and still manage to have the energy to hit 14 out in a month. The regular season is about mantaining muscle and I don't care how dedicated you are, you can not add muscle during the regular season. That said, I haven't paied attention to whether or not he's gotten bigger. I'm just saying, if he has, it's steroids.
  8. But I hate syringes.
  9. I'm not buying his story one bit. If I was an athlete, I would want to know exactly what's going into my body at any point in time -- and I would think, especially after having to testify in front of congress, Palmiero would be the same way.
  10. This NHL Season is going to be confusing as hell. It'll be like one of my fantasy draft seasons in MVP Baseball or Madden.
  11. Damn. He's one of my personal favorite personalities in the game. Here's to a speedy recovery.

  13. Wasn't it just last year that you begged the moderators not to send you to a Rangers board?
  14. I agree with a lot of what you have to say. The guy who runs the site with the Sabres concepts you linked to actually is a member of a message board I frequent -- It's a sports logos and uniforms forum as I used to want to do sports identity for a living. His photoshopped pictures are amazing. I wish they'd adopt those uniforms.
  15. Was it JT the Brick? I'm not too much a fan of his -- but, Sox/Yankees talk aside, I love Fox Sports Radio. The Third Shift and First team are both pretty funny shows.
  16. Don't understand the reasoning with that one. I wish the Nuggets could've gotten him, though.
  17. Certainly not weaker than the National League West
  18. Well, no -- but you think I'd pass up an opportunity to point out that the Yankees aren't very good?
  19. They were struggling before the last series with the Yankees -- and now they're struggling again, after it. I think that says a little something about how the Yankees aren't very good.
  20. They'll get it figured out. It's just like no matter who the Broncos throw in at RB, he'll be a huge success -- no matter who the Patriots throw in to, well, any position, really, they produce.
  21. Helton also has nobody around him in the Rockies lineup. And he was, recently, atleast, starting to get hot. That may be why his numbers aren't so great this season.
  22. I'll definetely credit some of the Yankees fans -- the ones that actually showed class rather than ask why we didn't do the same for Wang or Pavano -- despite said players' injuries not even comparing to that of Clement. I was pleasantly suprised on occassion, over there. For instance, one thread titled "More good news about Clement" -- I half expected it to say "He goT Hitt in teh hed ROFLAMAO!!!" -- instead it was an update on how he was concious and aware of what was going on. As for whether or not this may be a turning point -- I think it definetely is as even when we were down 2 heading into the 9th, there was no doubt in my mind that we'd win that game -- it's just the type of game that teams seem able to come together to win.
  23. If you'll remember from a Yankees/Red Sox games not too far back, there was a called ball against a Sox hitter, and it was clearly inside -- Joe Torre began arguing with the umpire from the dugout (even though he couldn't see that it was inside) and a few pitches later, the Yankees got a call that wasn't even close. And I think it was later in that game, that one of the ESPN Commentators said "This is getting completely one-sided" in reference to how the Yankees were getting all the calls. I'm sure a lot of players and managers do it because some umpires may actually be influenced to call the game differently and in the complaining teams favor. It seemed to work in that example I gave.
  24. Bad move by Larry Brown. Look at that cast of characters. His starting back court would rather throw up three's all game than distribute the ball. They traded their best defender and rebounder for Q, a guy that the Suns no longer wanted in part because he couldn't play any D in the playoffs. And for a coach that likes to have one foot out the door like Larry Brown does, this is not a good move, money aside. This team will take time to turn around.
