  1. I've participated in, at the very least, 75 of these grids... and have never won. Not a quarter, not a half, not a game -- I've never taken a single cent from one of these grids. This year's the year that all changes. Thanks for the inclusion, Cape. As always, I greatly appreciate it.
  2. I assume Teague didn't realize the shot clock had been reset on that last three... a hell of a shot, though.
  3. I'm not one to argue in Duke's favor, and this may be the only time I ever do it, but these refs have missed a lot of calls at Duke's end of the court, in my opinion. Hope it keeps up...
  4. Tim Duncan is starting!
  5. This might be the first year I've felt that Yao is actually deserving.
  6. The East starters are: Dwyane Wade Allen Iverson Lebron James Kevin Garnett Dwight Howard There's no way KG should be starting over Chris Bosh, in my opinion -- and how the hell can anyone justify Iverson starting? Fan voting's a joke. The West is: Chris Paul Kobe Bryant Amare Stoudemire Tim Duncan Yao Ming My beef is with Stoudemire over 'Melo, especially since that is the SF spot.
  7. lol @ Bryant. Sorry, Yankshater. Lost to a team that has lost 50+ straight. Go NJIT!
  8. Now come on, Crunchy -- being better than Joe Namath would qualify half the starting QB's in the league for the hall of fame.
  9. The bad years were really bad. And he's only done well when his offenses were stacked. I think that game winning drive against the Eagles pretty much sealed it. A Super Bowl win would guarantee it. But I don't think he should be. I'd put Donovan McNabb in before him. The Cardinals got into the playoffs as a result of the Division they play in. They've advanced in the playoffs because they've started playing defense, which has allowed them to run the ball more effectively. I'm not big on Matt Leinart, but I hardly think Kurt Warner is irreplaceable.
  10. Just how it worked out. Wanted the Falcons or Colts to win the Super Bowl, when they got eliminated, I wanted the Panthers to win the Super Bowl, when they got eliminated I wanted the Eagles to... Nothing against the Cardinals -- Boldin's been one of my favorite players since I watched the Sugar Bowl where he had to play QB because all of the FSU QB's were either hurt, academically ineligible, or struggling. I thought it was awesome how he stepped in from WR to play QB. Plus I really admire how tough he is. Not scared to go up the middle, even with a metal wire in his jaw after the hit he took against the Jets. He's losing a bit of respect for the way he's acting lately, but he's been a reason I sometimes cheer for the Cardinals.
  11. I've been cheering against both teams the whole way through, but Larry Fitzgerald's won me over with his play and his enthusiasm out there. It's awesome to see how excited he gets after a big play by the Cards.
  12. No, it wasn't a clean hit. You can't go helmet to helmet on a defenseless WR.
  13. Very poor clock management by the Steelers. What's the point of making that throw? Can't afford to cost yourself points in a game like this.
  14. Atta boy, Sweed... fake an injury after you drop the TD.
  15. Speaking of overrated QB's... Big Ben is so f***ing lucky.
  16. Ridiculously overrated. If the Ravens go to the Super Bowl, he's going to be among the most overhyped, overrated players ever.
  17. Steelers got lucky the Ravens decided to challenge it. If the Steelers were serious about challenging it, that is. They'd have lost their challenge and a timeout.
  18. Holmes lost that ball as he went to the ground. That's an incomplete pass.
  19. The Eagles got screwed. That was clearly pass interference, and would've been called at any other point in the game.
  20. I'm glad they waited to do it. Wouldn't have wanted him as a candidate for the, now-taken, Broncos job.
  21. That's the kind of thing that bothers me. Rather than add s*** that should be in the game to begin with into the game, they put it into a separate game you have to pay for. Is it not enough we're already paying $60 for as hit or miss of a game as the MLB 2k series? And by the way, MVP Baseball 2004 is still the best baseball game ever made not named Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball, which is the best of so many categories.
  22. Yeah, they'd have to be the clear cut favorites at this point. Good D, they've shown they can score the basketball... like you said... scary good.
