  1. Eh, alright, fair enough. I don't think it's something that should be called in that spot, no matter the teams. It's a matter of opinion and I think my opinion is consistent with the belief that officials usually 'let them play' to decide a game late. Eh, probably just the emotion of the game.
  2. Oh... my... god. Absolutely amazing.
  3. You defended them. You can't defend them there on two obvious fouls and then nit-pick here and agree with them. Not with so much at stake!
  4. Weren't you the one defending the no-calls against Sheldon Williams this year by saying that ACC officials don't make those kind of calls to decide a game?
  5. What a bull s*** palming call. You do NOT make that call to decide an NCAA Tournament game.
  6. I've been saying that every game. Haha. But they're giving up too many wide open looks from 3. On a positive note, if UConn can string together some stops, Rudy Gay looks like he's poised to take this game over.
  7. Nice little flop to get the 4 point play for George Mason. Jesus... this team can shoot -- we're not exactly doing much to stop them with open look after open look.
  8. UConn shows how easily they can break open a game towards the end there and goes into the half with a 9 point lead. I'm stating the obvious here, but George Mason doesn't have a prayer if they keep giving Rashad Anderson and Marcus Williams open looks from 3.
  9. GIARSF, where were you talking up your precious SEC when UConn sleep-walked through a game with Kentucky and still managed to win a game in which UConn was a shell of themselves and Kentucky played the best basketball they're capable of playing? If you're going to do nothing but bitch about whom we happen to talk about, then please refrain from posting in this thread because, obviously, nobody else wants to here it. We've given you all sorts of reasons why it's the case. So please, either shut up with this or provide a take that's worth a s***.
  10. I'm so excited about this baseball season -- I even had my dad pick me up some Rockies opening day tickets -- watch some opening day baseball and then watch my Huskies win the NCAA Tourney. What a day. Sure, the Rockies ain't exactly the Red Sox and Coors Field ain't Fenway, but it's baseball none-the-less and it's the best I can do.
  11. Yeah, Marcus Williams is the man. I was pissed off at him at times for turnovers that he should've known better than to pass and committ, but he made up for it at the line and with clutch plays in OT. Like that one where he tried to throw it downcourt off his backfoot when UConn was down 1 and it got turned over, and it put Washington up 3, and then the next UConn possession, Williams fired up and missed a 3. Oh well, he made up for it. Amazing game. Hopefully that kick starts 'em!
  12. What an amazing game. Washington had five players fouled out, but it didn't really look like it was just UConn getting all the calls -- they got to the line by being the more aggressive team, it seemed. Sure, I'd say more of the 50/50 calls went towards UConn, but it wasn't blatantly obvious poor officiating. What a game. Just... wow. Maybe that's the kind of thing that gets UConn going.
  13. Up 4 and at the line for one more with 24.4 left! UConn is in prime position to survive yet again. Best time of the year, gentlemen. My friend, who hates basketball, thanked me for making everybody watch last night's games because of how amazing they were.
  14. OH. MY. GOD! Rashad Anderson hits a 3 with 1.8 left and we're going to OT!!! OH. MY. GOD!
  15. It's one of those games in which you wonder how UConn has managed to stay within' 20. But heer they are, and Rudy Gay just tied it at the free throw line and Roy has 4 fouls. edit: It's not been 9 minutes without a turnover for UConn. Weird.
  16. This Roy kid can play. Here's what you need to know... UConn: 21 turnovers, 12 FG's. And I think you'd have a hard time finding a lot of turnovers that were forced by Washington.
  17. Ok, good because I suck at math. I'm not really sure about my major -- right now it's journalism, but that's set to change anytime because I'm not so sure that that's what I want to do. But I'm also pretty certain it won't be in the science, engineering, or finance fields.
  18. Jim Calhoun better get off the referees and on his team. UConn has shot many more freethrows, so it's not the refs fault they're losing, it's stupid turnovers and missing said free throws. The only NBA-ready thing about Rudy Gay's game is his athleticism, he'd be better off spending another year in Storrs. You'd think this team would come out with a fire under their asses this half... then again, you'd think that'd be the case at the beginning of the game.
  19. Well, nothing right now, but I have to take a placement test soon and I don't want to get into a class I already took in HS because I know that stuff, but haven't done math in almost 3 years so I'll get the stuff again, eventually, but don't want to sit through an entire semester of stuff I already learned.
  20. Wow. :what: Wanna take my math test for me?
  21. I wouldn't be terribly upset if UConn lost this game tonight. I'm sick of watching this half-ass effort combined with moronic decision after moronic decision on the offensive end. This team doesn't deserve to be within 10. If UConn wins, can you imagine how badly they're going to try and sleepwalk through a game against George Mason?
  22. Yeah, this officiating has been awful. BC can't get a call. I don't want to hear Nova fans ever complain about getting screwed last year ever again. How about that block to end the 2nd half? Amazing. I really hope they show the UConn game in my area.
  23. Yeah, I greatly dislike him so that's why I take pleasure in it. That must be extremely tough though, to know that you dominated the game and were in control of it almost the entire way through and still lost -- in addition to that, it being your last game of your college career... tough to take. I couldn't imagine that feeling. Almost feel bad for him. ALMOST.
  24. Yep, Reggie made a living off of coming off of screens and running without the ball. I'll give you another name -- Rip Hamilton. What makes him great is that he can run off screens all night long without breaking a sweat and he can get himself some pretty nice looks doing that. As for the UCLA game -- I thought they were going to get screwed when they ruled there was no continuation in that blocking call, costing UCLA a basket. But, as we know, they came back to win it so it's all good. What great games tonight, though. In the late games, two teams overcame pretty big deficits to force some amazing games. That Texas game, though, was amazing. **edit: images of the year? http://espn-att.starwave.com/media/ncb/2006/0323/photo/a_morrison_412.jpg http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/GADM13003240255.jpg
  25. Yeah, JJ will be alright in the NBA -- won't be an all-star, I imagine, but he'll be a solid enough player. What a game, though. LSU played a sloppy, sloppy game but were able to get the job done. Memphis just advanced as well. No suprise there, though.
