  1. Which is stupid, by the way. Even worse than that, though, is the areas where they call all soda 'coke'.
  2. f*** those hypocritical Raptors announcers and f*** Hawk! That's like when Der'marr Johnson dribbled out the clock while standing at halfcourt and took, and drained a half court shot to end a game last year -- the other team wasn't too happy with him about that one; I can only imagine their announcers' reactions.
  3. :o That... is impressive. I love alley-oops -- fortunately I get to watch Denver, who probably leads the league in alley-oops or is damn close to it. The Nuggets don't throw down like that, though.
  4. 2-1 Wisconsin, ten minutes left.
  5. Eh, it's just Tek being Tek
  6. From the AP. Looks like he'll be alright!
  7. Damn, I hope he's going to be alright.
  8. That'd be sweet, I make a lot of banners for message boards
  9. The following is the follow-through of yet another Carmelo Anthony game winner with about 3 seconds left. http://espn-i.starwave.com/media/apphoto/DXA10604070601.jpg
  10. yes he did. no doubt about it off of the bat, either. He just gave up a monster shot to Derek Lee after the catcher dropped a foul ball off of Lee's bat.
  11. Amare is going to have more surgery and will likely be out for the remainder of the season.
  12. I'd like to see Colorado, but at this point I think y7ou have to go with Detroit.
  13. Damn, that's too bad too hear... I was in his P.E. class when I was a Freshman at Longmont High School and he was hanging out at my house with my brother about a year after he got drafted by San Diego. Sounds like he got settled down in his last two innings of work.
  14. Yeah, I'll probably be cheering for LSU and George Mason, then if they both win, I'll have a difficult time deciding because they're both incredible stories. LSU, a team of kids that basically grew up with eachother and had to deal with Hurricane Katrina and George Mason, a team that some people thought didn't even deserve to be in the tournament.
  15. With the second half he had last year, and the tendinitis in his shoulder, Damon, himself, is a question mark.
  16. If the SEC is the better asketball bconference based on how the teams are doing in this tournament, then the Big East is the better football conference. West Virginia - 38, Georgia - 35. I don't believe that's true in the slightest bit, but it's not that much more absurd than what you're suggesting.
  17. If he's talking about the game that I'm thinking about then yes, it was Kentucky/Michigan State. Kentucky missed a couple threes late but managed to get the rebound, the last one came off the rim straight to Sparks, Sparks double punted in midair and somehow had the strength to get the ball to the rim and it bounced off the rim a few times and in. Amazing game. Double Overtime.
  18. The Connecticut/Washington game wasn't too bad either. There's been all sorts of amazing finishes this year.
  19. I don't think so. It wasn't the type of game most people were going into thinking "George Mason doesn't have a chance". It wasn't like they knocked off a couple of scrub teams and then had to face the mighty Huskies in their first test... they beat some very good basketball teams to get their and had a homefield advantage. Either way, I look at the game and the season like this -- no matter how good George Mason played (and they made EVERYTHING), and no matter how carefree UConn seemed at times -- the Huskies still had a shot to get to the Final Four on Browns 3 pointer. That's impressive to me. Mason played well enough to blow out a lot of basketball teams on Sunday.
  20. I don't remember if I picked Ohio State or 'Nova to be in the Final Four. If I picked Ohio State, I'm 0/4 too.
  21. *sigh* I'd have preferred Denham Brown take a chance at getting to the hoop again. Eh, this UConn team deserved everything they got with their performance in this tournament. Please go pro, Josh Boone, your inability to shoot free throws or do anything on the offensive end played a big part in this game.
  22. I was planning on cheering for LSU if the Huskies got knocked out... but not anymore. Marcus Williams hits a clutch, deep three... down only 2!
  23. Oh boy, GM in the double bonus, up 4 already. I think it might be over for real, now.
  24. They are a HELL of a basketball team. Once they got that crowd behind them they've been unstoppable on the offensive end. If I wasn't a UConn fan, it'd be a treat to watch them work.
