  1. I'm not usually in favor of this happening, but his reputation should get him off the hook in this case. He's one of the all-time nice guys in the league and I don't think you can think there was any bad intent.
  2. Thanks for those that clarified what happened for me. I just saw it on ESPN Motion and frankly, I don't think it's anything that's worth a suspension. I'm sure there's a precedent and that he'll get a suspenion, but I don't think what he did was all that bad.
  3. That sucks. I'm not too disappointed, the Avalanche are probably the sports team that I consider to be a favorite of mine that I care least about, so... Well, they got farther than anybody expected them to get this year. We've lasted longer than Detroit!!!
  4. What happened, exactly? I'm forced to watch games through ESPN.com's gamecast.
  5. Damn. Oh well, life goes on. Wish I got to see it, atleast.
  6. This is so f***ing dumb. The Avalanche are in Overtime, season practically on the line... and since Dish Network doesn't carry OLN, I can't f***ing watch it.
  7. Fogg looked really good. Carpenter walked 6 or so while the defense behind him committed 3 errors and that Rockies lineup still managed only two runs. Eh, games like that'll happen I s'ppose. Holliday looked great again and this team looks like they can beat anybody on any given night. Hope they can keep it up!
  8. Up 2-1 on the Cardinals right now, but the Cardinals have runners on first and second with no outs and Pujols up. Ugh... come on, Mesa! edit: And that would be a 3 run HR. I'm not much of a Jose Mesa fan. I'd rather see Fuentes have to pitch two innings.
  9. MANNNNNNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dear Youk of the Nation, Happy Birthday! Sincerely, The Red Sox
  10. Nash = Complete defensive liability. He looks absolutely clueless on defense. Kobe = Former, multiple time NBA First team all-Defensive player Take Steve Nash off of the Suns and they're a hell of a lot closer to where they are than the Lakers are sans Kobe.
  11. Great to see the Rockies doing good! Hopefully they keep it up so the games I see at Coors Field this year are meaningful ones!
  12. But the Cavaliers have more talent around Lebron than the Lakers do around Kobe. A LOT more talent.
  13. But the Suns without Nash are still a playoff team, or atleast a team than can contend for a spot. The Lakers without Kobe are absolutely dreadful and are competing for the worst record in the league. Besides, Nash doesn't get anything that resembles the defensive looks that Kobe sees -- what Kobe has done is made all the better by the fact that he has no consistent second scoring option on his team to keep defenses honest. Kobe's doubled when he doesn't even have the ball.
  14. Yeah, I think that Suns roster looks a hell of a lot more attractive without Nash than the Lakers does without Kobe or the Cavaliers without Lebron.
  15. You still can't convince me that this is a team that can beat the Spurs or Mavericks.
  16. Eh, not totally sure Kobe was trying to play much defense, there. The outcome was in no doubt. Anyways... great news, everybody! The Nuggets have decided to part ways with Kiki Vandeweghe! As if I needed a reason to drink in celebration, it's already Cinco De Mayo and a Friday!
  17. Can't say it was Kobe's fault. Luke Walton had the ball when he shouldn't have, sometimes. Kobe made some jaw-dropping shots, though. He did his part.
  18. Kobe did! "Do I know this kid? Who is this kid?..." Brilliant response by Kobe.
  19. Why would his teammates be lucky to get 35 as a group? It's not as though the Suns are any good at defense. When Kobe gets into a zone, he scores more because he's more efficient, not just because he takes more shots. His teammates shots will come. You're a team that depends on the 3... that's not a good thing in the playoffs because you're playing on tired legs. It's a dangerous line to be walking when you need to win 3 straight.
  20. No, no, no. If Kobe goes on a tear like he's capable of, Phoenix stands very little chance.
  21. Does anyone else find it funny that, in regards to the officiating, Steve Nash said that Kobe "always gets what he wants"? In my experience of watching the NBA this year, Nash gets as many calls as just about anybody.
  22. The MVP. Anyways, I think Kobe getting ejected was the worst think that could've happened to the Suns. Look for Kobe to rip them apart in LA.
  23. Boy oh boy was it painful watching Greg Buckner play in this series. Not his fault, either -- he's just not the type of player that they needed him to be because we NEVER acquired a shooter. The playoffs are a halfcourt game and Kiki NEVER acquired one of the two things you need to be successful -- a shooter or a big man that can back you down. This whole team needs to be blown up -- that's also the talk here on Denver talk radio. Nobody's untouchable but 'Melo. Time to start anew.
  24. Avalanche advance with a 3-2, OT win against Dallas. Bring on whomever the f*** is next!
