  1. I was going to, but his numbers recently made me decide to drop him and pick up Ian Desmond. And honestly, asking for either of them hadn't even occurred to me at the time.
  2. Now I just need to find a shortstop.
  3. Hopefully this trade goes through relatively quick, I need some saves desperately. I'm not counting on Austin Jackson to remain this good all year, but I might as well roll the dice. With my luck, right after the trade is processed he'll come back down to earth and eventually get sent down.
  4. I don't disagree with you one bit, *******s shouldn't disrupt the players, fans, and the game in general by running onto the field. But it did look excessive when he went face first into the turf. I'm just surprised he was able to evade all of them for so long before getting hit with the taser.
  5. I agree 100% with those 4. Being a huge Wizard fan all my life (still my favorite player of all time), of course being a huge Jeter fan, and appreciating Wagner's ability it's hard to choose just one. Same can be said for Ripken and all his accomplishments, bit being that he came up and retired as a 3B it's a little bit easier for me to look past him, but without question these 4, in no particular order, are #1, 1A, 1B, and 1C. LOL ok....so I guess that would put Nomar in the top 5?
  6. HELL YEAH! As for the Phillie fan, I think the use of a taser was excessive, b ut I understand the officer's judgement (never thought I'd say that!)... in the heat of the moment chasing him down you don't know what the kid's going to do or if he's a risk to any of the players or fans, but being that he was a dumbass teenager (who actually called home to ask his dad if he thought it was a good idea before running out onto the field) trying to have fun it looks to have been a bit excessive. Either way, it was funny to see him go down like that. At first when watching the video, I thought he intentionally dove face-first to the ground, but that clearly wasn't the case.
  7. Yeah definitely, I didn't even realize until just now. Now suns, what's it gonna get to pry Mo away from you? How can you tell who is who? lol On an unrelated note, I feel like such an idiot tonight. I left Bartlett, who is getting the night off, in my lineup while both of my possible replacements on the bench have 2 TB and 2 RBI each.
  8. My reaction was nothing personal towards you. But really, people think that because I'm a Yankee fan I'm ignorant or something. Yours wasn't the first trade offer I got where I would have been getting a few Yankees, while getting f***ed on the overall trade in the meantime. Seriously though, did you bother to look at any of the numbers before you hit the send button? Prince Fielder, Phil Hughes, and Nick Johnson for Miguel Cabrera, Choo, and Polanco? Not that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on Hughes, or that Nick Johnson's OBP doesn't appeal to me (that's about the only thing that does), but I'm already in last place. I need to work on improving my team (especially after missing the draft), not taking a step back. What do you want for Mo though? lol
  9. In fairness, I think the Sox would have been much better off hanging onto A-Gon than signing Scutaro. I'm not complaining though.
  10. Someone's touchy... The best way to fix the Red Sox: Contraction!
  11. Suns, trade sent. Feel free to counter.
  12. Mainly relief pitching (Neftali for starters). I just traded my only closer and need some saves. I'll also look to add depth to my starters and some offense if possible. Make me an offer. Sullivan Green Stockings.
  13. I feel like we need a list of what teams correspond to what users. Who's who?
  14. Also looking to move Jon Lester and/or Cole Hamels
  15. oh, and Diony, just because I'm a Yankee fan doesn't mean I'm going to make dumbass trades just because I'd be getting a Yankee in return. If you want Anderson, you gotta do better than that.
  16. NEED RELIEF PITCHING. SULLIVAN GREEN STOCKINGS
  17. Does anyone want Trevor Hoffman?
  18. Cardinals, Mets, and Dodgers.
  19. "Statistics are used much like a drunk uses a lamp post: for support, not illumination." -Vin Scully
  20. Whatever dude. I never said I woudn't like the addition of Joe Mauer's talent to my team, but all things considered, especially money, my preference all along has been for him to STAY in Minnesota, giving us the chance to further develop some of these great catchers we have in our system. I don't see why that's so hard to believe.
  21. oh yeah i think it is. cool the espn one, right?
  22. send me an invite
  23. Agreed. Good for them, this is definitely what's best for the game.
