Yeah but this happened weeks ago. Not that I'm defending A-Rod or what he said or did, although I don't completely think he was wrong. sure, out of courtesy he shouldn't have run across the mound, I know I never did when I played. But a lot of people I've talked to were never aware of that "unofficial rule," and being that A-Rod was just trying to get from point a to point b faster by cutting through the field, which in effect speeds up the game (something thats constantly being talked about nowadays), I don't think Braden's response was warranted. Either way, A-Rod responded that day; Braden spoke about it that day as well, and continues to talk about it. Granted, he was asked about it by a reporter, but this needs to die down already before anything happens. If it doesn't MLB and Bob Watson are going to have the umpires issue a warning to both teams prior to Braden's next start against the Yanks, which isn't fair to take away the inside of the plate.
Truthfully, idk why I just spent that much time and effort writing about it when I really don't care anymore. Like I said, I was tired of this situation weeks ago.
