I don't quite see what you're getting at, but if it has anything to do with switching Joba and Hughes I think it's a horrible idea given how good Hughes has been. He's finally living up to all the hype that surrounded him since being drafted in '04.

I can't believe the way this game played out. Luckily for us it worked out the way it did, but in the end it was just another incredible Yankees/Sox game when it comes down to it. I could vent a lot of my frustrations from this game (i.e. Chan Ho f***ing Park), but I really just have to appreciate that kind of quality baseball. Great game, looking forward to tomorrow.

So? It's still only May and they're both struggling. I had both on my other team in a different league and released Ramirez, and would have released Upton if he wasn't on the can't-drop list or whatever it is. I personally don't see what the problem is. Different teams have different needs. This has nothing to do with me being a homer or being buddies with Gom or anything, but I'm not going to get upset over this trade.

I personally don't care about the trades Gom makes. I don't see anything too obviously unfair, and his team, despite the presence of Pujols and A-Rod, doesn't scare me all that much.

I'm sure he's heard of him by now. But all the Braden/A-Rod s*** aside, he did something incredible today and deserves all the props in the world. Watching that 9th inning was quite enjoyable.

Yeah but this happened weeks ago. Not that I'm defending A-Rod or what he said or did, although I don't completely think he was wrong. sure, out of courtesy he shouldn't have run across the mound, I know I never did when I played. But a lot of people I've talked to were never aware of that "unofficial rule," and being that A-Rod was just trying to get from point a to point b faster by cutting through the field, which in effect speeds up the game (something thats constantly being talked about nowadays), I don't think Braden's response was warranted. Either way, A-Rod responded that day; Braden spoke about it that day as well, and continues to talk about it. Granted, he was asked about it by a reporter, but this needs to die down already before anything happens. If it doesn't MLB and Bob Watson are going to have the umpires issue a warning to both teams prior to Braden's next start against the Yanks, which isn't fair to take away the inside of the plate. Truthfully, idk why I just spent that much time and effort writing about it when I really don't care anymore. Like I said, I was tired of this situation weeks ago.

I think it's still way too early, although I don't expect them to play the rest of the season they way they started off. Hopefully I'm wrong though...

Who wants to trade? I'm looking to move either Bengie Molina or Russell Martin; also looking to move Jason Werth, Clay Buchholz, Max Scherzer and Carlos Silva. Also if the price is right I'd be more than willing to move Lester, Fukudome, David Wright, or Austin Jackson. Looking for maybe a quality SS, a big bat, a closer, or some starting pitching.

Hell yeah! I love it haha...while I've never liked Byrnes too much as a player, he's definitely an entertaining personality. And like it said in the initial post, I think he has a bright future in broadcasting. If I were to guess I'd say it had something to do with PED's....that's just me though.
