  1. Very likely
  2. Washington is.
  3. Salary relief for a prospect or 2 works by me.
  4. http://newyork.yankees.mlb.com/images/2008/12/10/4rOlbJ9K.jpg OKAYYY!
  5. For those of you who care about things such as uniform numbers like myself, there has been some question as to what number Franky will wear considering Johan already has 57. It was briefly talked about on SNY and on some blogs, and according to Mets.com he'll be wearing 75. That'll probably be a SICK looking jersey
  6. They're all professionals and they all know how to field a ground ball. Sure, a few nmight get through but that's not my main concern. My issue is giving those dollars to someone his age. At this point though rumor has it the Yankees have a 5 year, $80 Mil offer on the table for Burnett, I wonder if they sign just one or both, and if they sign both that all but ensures Pettitte goes elsewhere for 2009. ..I still say we let both Burnett and Lowe go get grossly overpaid elsewhere and we just sign Sheets and Andy. We already overpaid for one pitcher this offseason.
  7. He got less than Francisco Cordero got from the reds last year and less than the Mets gave Wagner a few years ago. There is no way this deal is anything but great, anyone who disagrees needs to be checked into a hospital for psychological evaluation .
  8. How is the K-Rod deal anything but great? They got the premiere closer they need, and they got him for 3/$37. If the option vests then it becomes 4/$51 Mil, which still isn't that bad. And he's only gonna be 27 come opening day. C'mon man, you can't be serious. They didn't turn out well, but he made s quick splash signing two of the top free agenst on the market that year. Free Agency and whatnot is such a crap-shoot, you can't judge based solely on performance. He's an aggressive GM who does his best to get the job done.
  9. Send it.
  10. But he came along, and in his first offseason made a splash with Pedro and Kaz Matsui (that one didnt work out too well, neither did Pedro really but he had that great 2005). He's always aggressive and he's very dilligent in what he does. He did a great job with the Santana deal and the the K-Rod deal. You can't fault him for the play on the field and the Mets blowing it each of the last 2 seasons. But lets not forget in 2006 the Mets team he put together did make it to Game 7 of the NLCS. I think he's done a pretty good job, but like with anything there's always going to be those who disagree.
  11. My facts are straight, none of what I said was wrong, fool. I'm not saying he was an ace, but he did a pretty good job when he was brought up. Disagree all you like, that's fine. I'll KILL him!
  12. Me too. very much so. It pains me because I love him as a player, but he's hit a rapid decline and quite frankly at this point we're better off with Manny as our DH than Hideki.
  13. lol my bad, again
  14. If we trade either Damon or Matsui then we do. I think there's a good chance one of them gets moved.
  15. I wanted Lowe too, but not at that price. No thank you.
  16. What do you mean we have to replace Pettitte? I think he still comes back. We add either Sheets or Burnett and we have a rotation of Sabathia, Wang, Joba, Sheets/Burnett, Andy. Pretty solid, if healthy. Were you watching the same pitchier? In 6 games (30 IP) he gave up 25 Hits, 8 Runs (all earned), 10 BB, 16 Ks, with an ERA of 2.40. That sucks? You're a fool.
  17. HE GREW UP LESS THAN A MILE FROM YANKEE STADIUM YOU FOOL. I think he would love to play in NY. It's a big enough city that he can just blend and do his thing, it's not like boston where he's gonna constantly have people on his back harassing him. And I realize Hank's word has little value to you, but who erected you up onto the high horse?
  18. He;s just the man behind the microphone, and yes a tool as well. The man really running the team is his business-savvy brother Hal. In Hal we trust. but I wouldn't mind Manny.
  19. ...and he "doesn't give a s*** about his hair." According to Jon Heyman http://www.fannation.com/si_blogs/hot_stove/posts/30845
  20. A-Rod might though. word has it Hank REALLY wants Manny. per Jon Hey"(the)man"
  21. What, having Aceves in the rotation? I wouldn't be disappointed with either him or Hughes rounding out the rotation, but if thats the case the offseason has to be considered a failure. That means we added another starter and failed to bring back Andy, or the other way around. As much as I love Hughes and want to see him excel in our rotation, he just doesn't slot in to start the year. I think he would be a good 7th or 8th inning option until someone in the rotation goes down with Aceves serving as the long man. Unless they want to start Joba out in the pen to control his innings and throw Hughes in the 5th spot, and then bring Joba along at some point during the season. Despite what they say, you never know what the Yankees are gonna do with Joba. My mistake i thought you were talking to me.
  22. Which one are you referring to?
