  1. No
  2. We are losing a lot of offensive production this offseason. While I'm not gonna go otu and lobby for the organization to sign Manny, I wouldn't have a problem with inserting that bat into our lineup right behind A-Rod.
  3. Obviously Lee with the season he had.
  4. I picked C.C. Even though he didn't play the whole season in the NL, the job he did in Milwaukee propelled the Brewers to contender status. He had a great season. As did Lincecum, and Lidge, and Webb, and Santana. I have to give my vote to Sabathia though.

    NL ROY

    Soto.

    AL ROY

Longoria, of course. Although I'd love to see Aviles get it seeing as how he grew up 25 mins from where I live. But Evan's a great young player, we got to see a lot of him around here in the NY-Penn League (He played for the HV Renegades in 2006, the team that I interned for last summer), and he's shown us the type of player he can be for many years to come. He'll be fun to watch throughout his career, just as he was this year.
  7. Hamels is MVP. Congrats ona great series and postseason/
  8. Word. Now I have to resort to Yankees classics on YES and even Mets Classics on SNY...and then the MLB Network in January should keep me quenched until pitchers and catchers report and the WBC kicks off. Who do you give the MVP to? Hamels, Howard?
  9. Congratulations to the 2008 World Champion Philadelphia Phillies! As well as the Tampa Bay Rays who had an incredible season.
  10. I would be shocked if Hamels and the Phil didn't wrap this up tonight. And even though I've been pulling for the Rays, if Philly's gonna win it it would be nice for them to do it at home. The fans deserve it.
  11. Sonnanstine vs Blanton tonight. I'm taking Tampa. Should be a good game.
  12. Yeah I remember that, Francona bugged out. I think McCarty was the RFer or somethign and he had an OF glove and an IF glove both on the field and just switched them as he was re-positioned. It was rather humerous.
  13. According to this article he still plans on playing professional baseball during the summer. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2008/aug/26/yankees-minor-leaguer-cj-henry-joins-memphis-baske/?feedback=1
  14. That would be one terrible defensive outfield. I'm not against the ideaof getting Manny, but no way Damon should be our regular centerfielder, and no way in hell should Hideki be in left everyday. I still think we should let Matsui or Damon play first, but the organization seems reluctant to do so.
  15. Oh well. Good luck to him. It's unfortunate that a first rounder like him, who we later traded and then signed again, didn't pan out. Maybe we'll see him in the NBA one day. I guess it doesnt matter because they're different sports, but I would have thought that him being a professional athlete would affect his NCAA eligibility. Guess not. So much for his claim after being drafted that he would be in the big leagues in under 2 years.
  16. No thanks
  17. Last August Nobody blamed the RED SOX, it was mentioned that prior to getting arrested he got into a tiny tiff with a heckler who said that if he pitched for the Red Sox he wouldnt be there. I didn't see anyone pointing any fingers, btu if they were it was at the situation that occurred that enraged Joba, not at the Red Sox in particular. Somebody didn't get a very good grade in elementary reading comprehension.
  18. The system is a f***ing joke. I'm sorry to hear that man. The kid who sliced me in my neck, bringing me within less than an inch of my life is on probation. Go figure.
  19. Some of you guys are really f***ing stupid.
  20. Does this really arrant 3 threads? C'mon now.
  21. I would like to congratulate my fellow Tupac fan Matt Garza on being named ALCS MVP
  22. Congratulations to the AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPION Tampa Bay Rays! It's been a storybook season for them. Almost makes u forget about the Devil Rays Nice job by the Sox making this series close. Go Rays!
