  1. Hey, that's not very nice! I'm just frustrated.
  2. True, I agree. You got me sold 228, I like our chances with Pettitte in game 7 better anyway, he's got the experience and mental toughness.
  3. You think so? I don't agree, nor do I disagree. I liked the diea of C.C. going in Game 7 only because it puts him back on normal rest, and he matches up against Weaver. But you might be right, it might be better to send Andy out there in Game 7 (which would also extend his rest, which may be good or bad) with all the pressure and let C.C. try to finish the job tomorrow with Andy to fall back on. Good point. I wonder if Girardi will make the switch.
  4. Thanks. that is if I ever get to see it I appreciate your help man, thanks again.
  5. I haven't been able to receive it yet, but thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.
  6. Dipre I need to ask you an unrelated question regarding your proximity to Santo Domingo, but PM's aren't working right now.
  7. I don't think I would give Pedro the advantage over Andy just yet. But I agree with you, if both teams send otu 3 man rotations, the Phils match up pretty damn good.
  8. Regardless, IF we win this series I bet that Girardi could still find a way to f*** up against the Phils. I say no matter what send Girardi packing this offseason. Of course that would be a lot easier to do if we lose this series or even the World Series (and if we win the World Series my sentiments might change dramatically), but I think we need to scoop up Mattingly before he succeeds Torre in LA after next season.
  9. This one really stung. I can't even sleep. We need to win Saturday with Andy on the mound. As well as C.C. has done and as much as I love him right now, a game 7 would make me a nervous wreck, and I don't think I could handle that.
  10. Why is Burnett still in this ballgame? Granted he's settled down a bit since the first inning, but his boy Molina is out of the game and we got a fresh bullpen. Lets go!
  11. Well whaddya know. Giddy up Tex!
  12. BALL FOUR, BASES LOADED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C'mon Johnny!
  13. Very true. No arguments here.
  14. I'm having horrible nightmares of 2004 all over again right now. This is sad...
  15. Yes, you are correct. There is an art to throwing a spitter, and what we saw in that video would be like a three-year-old finger painting compared to the Mona Lisa-like artistry of some of the great spit-ballers like Jack Chesbro, Burleigh Grimes, and Gaylord Perry. That's another reason this is getting so ridiculous. If Mo was actually doctoring the ball I would say "cool, at least he didn't get caught." It's clear that he wasn't, so this discussion really needs to be put to rest.
  16. Ready to wrap this thing up tonight, LETS GO!
  17. Nobody's freaking out except you. I even said to begin with that it looked to me like he spit on the ball and that it was whatever, while I didn't condone it I didn't frown on it the way I fron on PED use, and also acknowledged that many of the best pitchers in the history of the game doctored the ball. Did you conveniently overlook that point? You're freaking out by persisting with these claims after they have already been proven wrong. He DID NOT spit on the ball. It's a non-story, just let it go man. I don't know why we're still talking about this.
  18. The Phillies scare me, they really do. If we advance we're going to have our hands full with them. Lets not forget they swept us at Yankee Stadium during interleague. I guess to be the best you have to beat the best, and it's only supposed to get harder the further you go. As much as I would have loved to play the Dodgers, this is the way it should be.
  19. If he tried to spit on the ball and missed I would be very concerned. He was just spitting, that's all. Don't make a mountain out of a mole-hill. 700, just give up man.
  20. OK so before everyone gets on me I want to say that upon initially reviewing the video, I thought it was pretty goddamn clear that Mo spit on the ball. Fine. I'm not condoning it, but I certainly don't hold it to the same level of "cheating" as I do PED use and such, some of the best pitchers in baseball history doctored the ball. And anyone who is friends with me on facebook can confirm that I even posted a video of the incidend with the headline "We got Mo out there throwin spitters," or something to that effect. But Fox showed a still shot last night that clearly showed the lugi (sp?) in front of the baseball. You could see for sure that the spit did NOT touch the ball. I haven't been able to find the still shot that they showed, but I'll keep looking. Otherwise I am aware I'm going to take a beating here as a Yankee lover who is just defending a Yankee. Call it what you want but I know what I saw, and admit to initially thinking he spit on the ball. Besides, his pitch doesn't have enough movement to be a spitter, or doctored in any way. So take it how you want, there is no way Rivera spit on the ball. Selig and Scoisca both agreed.
  21. HOME RUN A-ROD!!!!!!!!!!
  22. It's not much of a story, and certainly a non-issue to us over here, but I was intrigued when I read that 2 Yomiuri Giants have been diagnosed the H1N1 virus. Tough break as they are about to begin their Stage 2 Climax Series (sorta like the the equivalent of the LCS, except their playoff system is a bit retarded) with the Chunichi Dragons. http://www.japanball.com/news.phtml?id=15776 Oh well, feel free to post, comment, or close. Just thought I'd share this.
