  3. OH WOW! This made my day LMFAO!!!!!!
  4. LOL...that statement makes it seem like he is a smaller piece to their puzzle. If they trade one of the best players in the game, their going to get alot of young talent, cash and picks or Pierce with some young guys, cash and picks. I don't see Minnesota trading KG to Boston without getting the likes of Green, Rondo, Al Jefferson (KG's replacement) Delonte, possibly Pierce (depending on who else is in the package)...point being is getting KG and his contract is gonna change the complexion of most teams. I don't see him moving honestly...
  5. I see...Yankee fans are not like that at all... Exhibit A: Jon_Papelboner...B. your user name...C. the "Got rings?" shirts... need I go on?
  6. Exactly...big moves can be the least talked about if it affects your organization in the right way.
  7. A bust I'm really surprised that wasn't on the list or mentioned was Russ Ortiz...given a 5 yr ( I think) Contract for ALOT of cash (I don't know the exact specs of it) and a year and a half into it the Diamondbacks pay him $20 million to go away and during the time he pitched he was along the lines of 6-27 or something garbage like that.
  8. Well now this thread is rather dumb...
  9. The FA market must be weak... I kid. But 6 years is a little long to offer a guy who just keeps getting hurt...I would have done like 3-4 but 6 is a stretch...but who knows, maybe this will prove to be a great move. :dunno:
  10. This is a huge deal. This is like taking a sledge hammer and breaking the Pistons foundation. I see them crumbling...albeit slowly but they are. The article said the Bulls will look to trade Chandler...but who would want him...I saw they mentioned a few teams but for the most part, he's garbage.
  11. But if that doesn't cost you Pierce, that menas you have a LETHAL backcourt (Ivy at the Point, and Pierce at the 2) NASTY. Granted both are advancing in years but can still score in truckloads. That backcourt can be one of the best (if it happens) for a good 3-5 years.
  12. Welcome.
  13. This should be our shirt... :papelbon:
  14. More was involved (according to the guys on air during the draft)...y'all got Grant, and Money (made no sense to me...but thats what they said... or maybe you guys sent US money...I dunno) and your sending us a future first round pick... Makes PERFECT sense to me why we (the Suns) did it. We want to keep EVERYONE we have, because we believe that we are VERY close to a championship with the team we have. Although I would love to have drafted a young star...A) We already have a few, and B ) we have a great team as it is. So I'm happy the guys in our FO did the right thing.
  15. ...I think I made things confusing... I meant 6 more teams to make 4 opening round games. ...is that what you meant?
  16. LOL, but you get my point...the talent level differential would be so rediculous, that there would be massacres worse than 1 vs. 16 matchups were a few years back. That's not a bad idea...expanding to 4 opening round games...to see who gets the 16 seeds...but that would be by 3 games, and 6 teams, right?
  17. OK...well I think, from what I know about the Diamondbacks...Quentin won't be going anywhere, don't really know much about Gonzalez and I've heard of Montero...but thats about it. I have to admit...I don't know much about prospects (Although...Wood went to I BELIEVE a local high school here in Arizona)
  18. That's a shocker. I thought for sure when I saw it happen, he was done for the year.
  19. OK, so in your opinion...who would those three teams have to give up?
  20. Agreed, someone that good isn't worth at least trying to get. It would be amazing to have him.
  21. No way. I agree with Yankeessuck, there are few teams who can argue that they got screwed for not getting in. It makes the conference tourneys more important, and gives it more excitement. I mean if this idea goes through...imagine a team like Uconn or Duke from this year playing the likes of Northern Arizona. It would be less competetive, and that is what makes that time of the year so exciting.
  22. But that deal ended up alright now didn't it? We kept Lester, AND got Beckett.
