  1. Welcome to Talksox!
  2. Welcome.
  3. We need His help more.
  4. LOL...Welcome back.
  5. I see that your posts and tone have changed, and you're right...you've posted very little over a year plus. Still...the change was drastic. That's what drew the comment out of me.
  6. But of course...how could I forget...
  7. Me? Oh, f*** secret santa...my person f***ed me over. :thumbdown
  8. Smelling a ban, are we?
  9. Agreed. Because if football is the only thing I might die...it goes baseball to basketball for me...football is not my sport. (October baseball-October pre-season hoops...then it starts all over)
  10. What about to Arizona? :dunno: They traded a couple of decent prospects for Livan Hernandez... EDIT: And they can use the starting pitching too...they are still in their race
  11. Now I know why people are so worried about the future of the country...because of people like this. You're 21??? Wow...
  12. Word. I don't follow the Diamondbacks enough to know every roster move they make, so this one kinda surprised me. He actually was a solid reliever for them last year...even was the closer. So it's kinda shocking. HA! Maybe they can DFA Valverde too...and we can pick him up.
  13. Not to change the debate about Lester...but when/how did you guys get Brian Bruney?
  14. I Never said that, we got dismantled and I know it and will admit it(and I didn't even watch hardly any of the games). We blow, and its obvious. What I meant was, commenting on SFiT's sig, after a day like today. Don't put words in my mouth.
  15. I think this is the wrong night to try to crack jokes like that.
  16. HA! I remember that...he was still in Chicago and I THINK they were playing the Reds, not totally sure who it was he nailed, but that was INSANE.
  17. Yeah no joke especially after the KC series...I don't care though...with stuff like this I always pick the crazy pick...
  18. I'll be optimistic
  19. My only problem with going for a former NL pitcher, is that they don't seem to be the same pitcher when brought over to the AL. Clement, Pavano, Wright...I mean there not just our acquisitions but it seems like that is the case throughout the board. I dunno...I just worry...s*** people said Maddux wouldn't accept a deal to the AL (and for good reason) so I'd be weary of signing a NL guy.
  20. Welcome
  21. Hawk Harrelson takes the cake.
  22. Playoff bound sure...division, no shot. New Jersey is too good. Period. I told y'all LAST YEAR they would be good, and you laughed...now look at you (Look it up doubters). Anyway, I agree that the Celts have improved, but BoSox you are ABSURDLY overrating Telfair. Best passing PG since Cousy (I assume by your words "we" means the Celtics, because Steve Nash is by far and away the best passer the league has). I see them getting in the playoffs...but not making a lot of noise, too guard oriented (although I like Gerald Green, freak athlete and I think will be a great one down the road). Theo Ratliff is like 85 years old, Gomes is too small for a PF, and too slow to play the SF, and the bigs are relatively unproven. Also, if Wally's knees are bone on bone, don't expect much at all from him. If he couldn't do well with Garnett (one of the best players in the game), how much better could he do in Boston? BoSox, your being WAY too optimistic...you don't expect Kidd to perform like in the past...On what basis besides bais do you have to believe that? Does Kidd have some injury I don't know about...last I checked he was the best PG in the league until Steve Nash broke out here in Phoenix 2 years ago, and if it weren't for Nash he still would be. Injury away from falling apart...didn't Richard Jefferson get hurt last year, and they STILL won the division? I just don't see where your coming from. Anyway...The Eastern Conference should be fun...
  23. That's true, the D'backs have quite a few guys at the big league level who came through their farm system. Webb, Tracy, Jackson, Carlos Quentin, and there are more waiting to come up next year.
