  1. I'll take that reality. Ortiz-Manny-Drew is a great 3-4-5. I'll be happy when shopping him is over.
  2. I agree with this. Mo is the best ever. Gagne when healthy was great, but Mo did it in the AL East...and killed dudes. Gagne did it in the NL, GRANTED he was so dominant but I wonder if he would have had quite as long of a streak in the AL. And Mo did it in October. I by no means like the fact he's on the Yankees but he is the best ever. EDIT: But since we can't have Rivera, Ill take Gagne in hopes that he regains form and is dominant again.
  3. Welcome
  4. True. He's an animal. Great player
  5. JR is good. I was shocked when I heard they got him, but I forget...who'd they give up? Or was it just picks?
  6. Well Carmelo's playing fantastic right now, and your right about his in between size which makes him a match-up nightmare for most guys. I would put him on the top tier of offensive players, along with LeBron, D-Wade, Michael Redd (this year he is...31 ppg), Ray Allen, Paul Pierce...guys like that. (Amare is working his way back on this list...not yet though). And the rebounding thing, I agree he could be a great rebounder, but I dunno if he could out board Camby. Doesn't Camby usually get like 11 rebounds per every year? Thats tough to beat...only the likes of Shawn Marion, KG, Shaq and Ben Wallace put up those kind of rebounds. Overall 'Melo's great, I love the guy...he's probably my favorite player not on the Suns right now.
  7. LOL. This thread is dorment. Melo is great and Kiki seems like he wishes he still worked in Denver (if you watch NBA Fastbreak he slurps them and Carmelo anytime he can).
  8. Thats alot for a guy whos had one big year. But if he produces they wont care.
  9. Yeah kinda like when the Marlins had Pierre and Castillo. Made a deadly speed bunch at the top. s***, I wish I was fast...then I could get a $9 million dollar a year deal to play baseball.
  10. Well we ended our 4 game snide, barely. I didn't see the whole game but saw the 4th and realized we were too close to blowing a 34 point lead (albeit the bench was in). Amare played great too, I wish I woulda seen him play.
  11. Welcome
  12. Dream all you want but he's a Sun for life. I agree the C's are climbing back up the ladder of good teams in the East. You guys should have a fun team the next couple of years, unless Ainge has another brain typing mis-fire and trades a key piece of your team away for crap. (I, personally didn't thnk the Antoine Walker trade was smart at all...)
  13. HA! Is that lingering anger towards Kiki?
  14. I was at the Suns home opener against the Clippers last night. Amare, looks as if he is gaining his swagger back. He had a nice game, and tried a few dunks which got the crowd roaring. Matrix was his usual self, and Nash played great too. I love NBA season.
  15. Yeah, ya think he said it enough? What a joke by the Cardinals...they really blew this one. Un-f***ing-believable...well...now that I think about it, it's a team owned by the Bidwell's, they BLOW so horribly as owners, that the Cardinals will never win with them being the owners.
  16. I have a question for all Celtics followers. Why do you all have Rondo as the starting point over Delonte and Telfair? I think that's absurd, pre-season basketball isn't the same as the regular season, I personally wouldn't want to see a rookie starting (with rare exceptions) especially when you have established guys at thta position with West and Telfair. Your thoughts. And I don't watch the Celtics at all so I could be missing something.
  17. Welcome
  18. Yes Even on that note though, I am very excited for the season to start.
  19. He hasn't been dogging it. He's been feeling pain in both knees again, taking it easy so he doesnt get hurt again. There was a report out that he could miss 2-3 MORE months. And that report could still have some steam to it, but I think that idea is dying. Anyway, nah he's not dogging it. He's being careful, and I don't blame him OR the coaches for telling him to.

  21. NBA talk is back! Finally. I'm EXTREMELY excited for the season to start. I plan on going to more games than I did last year, which includes Opening Night. I'm cautiously optimistic with Amare Stoudemire, but the local news media makes it hard not to get discouraged. We have a fun group and this season should be amazing. It's been a long off-season...and we needed hoops back.
  22. Congrats to both. I'll be back next week, I've been strong but came up short both times I've entered.
