  1. It's still the NL. And Wells knows how to pitch. Like the article said he's penciled in as their 5. Nothing spectacular is expected from him. They aren't expecting him to pitch better than Peavy. Just go out and win games and pitch like a 5 should. 12-15 Wins for him shouldn't be out of the question, granted he stays healthy.
  2. Good signing for the Pads. They have a pretty solid rotation.
  3. More regular season wins than anyone else. He's not good at defense but he makes his guys better. Jump up and down and tell me how great of a team we have without him but I saw the core of this team (namely Stoudemire and Marion) without a true PG (Barbosa in his rookie year was NOT CLOSE to what he is now) and we were pitiful. We needed a great PG to make us a contender because we had the pieces but NO-ONE in Phoenix expected these results. the media here was hung up on the fact that we got an ex-Sun back and how cool that was. Yeah, it's pretty cool.
  4. Well honestly, I was starting to believe that they needed each other, but Shaq proved that wrong last year by winning it with Wade. But Kobe needed Shaq more than Shaq needed Kobe.
  5. He also made the All-NBA pouter team. What happend in Game 7? He pouted and "showed everyone" that the team needs him, and they got blown back to LA. He's a cocky bastard and won't ever win a ring again. This year he has changed his mentailty somewhat, but who knows how long that'll last. And your hearing less and less of the whiners saying Kobe has a weak cast, because his cast is getting NBA quality time under their belts and improving. Anyway, our team was never known for defense, but were improving (relative to the last two years) and our style translates into W's.
  6. Yeah, I kinda was wondering what it meant when I clicked on it the first time. And, to answer the question...no I don't want Bonds to pass Aaron. EVER.
  7. Ours isn't very good, so I agree with the above...sounds about right. And (in the Yankees case) when you have Mariano Rivera at the back end of your pen, yours can't be THAT bad.

  10. You'd take Prior?
  11. Wang was amazing last year, he's due to flater a little isnt he? I'm betting on Moose's age to catch up with him. Pettite was a star 3 years ago, before his injuries in Houston And where did I ever make a comparison to our rotation?
  12. Have you taken your insulin today mr.? -No way Wang repeats last year. -Same for Moose -Pettite's coming from the NL to the AL. I've always had reservations about guys doing that, and lately it hasnt worked, with a few exceptions (Schilling). And hes advancing in years. -Chacon was bad but Lidle (R.I.P) in a full year woulda been better than Pavano. Damn Kool-aid addict...
  13. If RJ does come back to Arizona, I think it'll be interesting what the reaction of the fans will be here, especially because he left for the money. I might even go to his first game. Granted they are all so dead anyway, they don't even cheer when an opposing pitcher blows his no hitter. So who knows what will happen.

  15. It's true though, this time of year is known to be slow around these parts. But it'll pick up.
  16. True. But at least we can't put woes completely on the FO (We still need a closer.) They are getting pieces (albeit at rediculous prices...$70 Million...$40 Million) and those players need to produce.
  17. Welcome.
  18. If you have anything to do with them, yup.
  19. Hmmm...Not taking much into that. Dan Patrick likes to run his blubbering mouth whenever he gets the chance. I'm waiting for a link.
  20. It has everything to do with you. Your buddies are goofing around in there.
