    Starbury wasn't Starbury when he was in Minny. He got to the 20/10 status in NJ and PHX. Granted he was good but not like he was at his peak. Plus if you asked alot of guys around the league, they would say they wouldn't want to play with him. He's a shoot first PG. How do you expect to win with a shoot first PG? That's why we got rid of him. And I'm glad we did.

    I see. He wanted the money. Well I read the article, and it sounds like the kids only problem is a consistent windup, which it said he's working on. He should be interesting to see.

    That how it seems to be. People who are freaks of nature, or just that much better than everyone else alot of the times waste it. It's sad. I always say, "Give me 4-6 inches off that guy and I'm playing D-1..." A guy I used to work with is 6'5" and never has played basketball at all. Instead he plays hockey. I told him, give me the 5 inches and I won't be here and I'd be at Duke or UNC or Texas, and you being 6 foot won't change your hockey game. It's unfortunate. OH well. Wasn't meant to be...

    Dude who was in my high school (a grade above me) threw 95 consistently and was a strikeout machine. I went to one of their games and he K'd 17 and also hit a jack and drove in 3 of the 4 runs we scored. I was in awe. But then he went on his mormon mission and ruined any chances of making it big. Which is a HUGE bummer.

    If Boston gets the number one pick, I'd have to agree with the majority of the posters here and say Oden. Because the Celtics are already set at the wing position, and have no depth at the Center/PF positions and Oden would be an impact player there. But if another team got the #1 pick it could be different depending on what their current situation is.

    Woah! Hold on their mister pipe dream...you think the Celtics are Oden or Durant away from a title? I think either one would help, but not make you guys NBA champs in the near future.

    I've been saying this for a few years now. I just don't get that feeling from him. I know he's a fantastic player, but he doesn't have that championship swagger. I was telling this to my friend last night and he thought I was basing it on that horrible three LeBron took at the end of the game, but I said I've felt that way awhile. Obviously not a popular opinion because of all the LeBron slurpers, but I don't think he'll win a championship.

    You think that highly of Oden? I haven't watched him play much at all so I don't really know much about him. I know he is a big presence, but didn't know people thought that highly of him.

    I'm just going to see them when they come out here June 8th, 9th and 10th. I can walk up the day of the game here and get nice and cheap outfield bleacher seats for $20.

    Alot of people feel that way. I guess I'm in the minority where I like the NBA better. I guess it's because it's the first brand of basketball I was introduced to. I was never grew up following or caring about college basketball. Don't get me wrong, I like it alot. But for me, I like the pros better.
