  1. I really have no idea why Tavarez was in there in that situation. What about Foulke?
  2. I really don't know if we would go after Wood, but if that is the case I am sure with the way the Cubs are playing we would give them some pretty good prospects.
  3. Yeah, he's the best closer in the AL East, right?
  4. I'll have to think about this one. Right now, I believe I would only possibly giving a standing 'O' to Bernie and Jeter. Giving Jeter a standing boo-vation would probably be the right way for him to go out of Fenway, though.
  5. 1. Age/Sex/Location? 17, M, San Angelo TX 2. Are you an official member of Red Sox Nation membership club? Yes 3. What is you opinion about the Red Sox Nation membership club? I think it is a good deal. Discounts, getting to listen to the games online if I for some reason can't watch on MLB Extra Innings. 4. On average, how much do you spend on the Red Sox (tickets, souvenirs, concessions, etc) during a season? Going by last year, I probably spent around $500 -- that includes a game at Fenway (infield grandstand seats) and everything else I bought throughout the year. 5. Do you feel that the price of $9.95 is a reasonable price to join the Official Red Sox Nation? Most definitely. The MLB radio is $14.95 by itself and that is one of the few things included for $9.95. 6. Do you feel that the price of $59.95 is a reasonable price for the Ultimate Red Sox Nation, which allows members to purchase tickets? I do not own the 'Ultimate Red Sox Nation' package, but I would say it is. 7. Do you know the benefits of joining the Red Sox Nation membership club? Sure do 8. What’s one incentive that would make you want to be an official member? It is already a pretty good deal. Maybe some more drawings of some sort. 9. Would you join the membership if it were free? Well, yeah. I mean, I payed for it, so I would join if it were obviously. And Andrea, tell Coco to hurry up and get healthy. I want to buy a 'COCO'S BETTER' shirt.

  7. Jesus H. Christ, you're just setting yourself up with that statement, ARod2212. I'm actually not even going to be the one to put you into place on that comment. Any other Red Sox fan want to compare Papi in the clutch to anyone in the New York Yankees organization? No contest.
  8. I know how the game works. It is Farnsworth's run, but Rivera still gave up the hit to Manny to score that run. Sure, on the stat sheet it's not Mariano's run, but we still thank him for it. I get your point, though and why you started the thread. Blah, blah, blah... Rivera is still the greatest, the Yankees won at Fenway, ect. My advice is to fix that middle relief, though, to get to Rivera. He shouldn't have even really been in the ball game.
  9. Thanks for the run in the 8th and the two hits, Rivera. Hopefully we'll see you tomorrow.
  10. Honestly, He Hate Me: I have no idea where you get the comparison between the two incidents (besides the fact that both were fights with a catcher). Click on the following link, then scroll down for the link to the video: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/bos/news/bos_gameday_recap.jsp?ymd=20040724&content_id=808508&vkey=recap&fext=.jsp "Alex Rodriguez is drilled, and he says something to Bronson Arroyo." From that point Varitek confronts A-Rod. A-Rod began it all by talking s*** to Arroyo. Thanks for playing, though, He Hate Me.
  11. ... Or to brag about their 26 Championships. Then, we bring them back to reality (aka an OF of Damon, Cairo and Cabrera -- an old and worthless pitching staff -- a few players on the juice -- an overrated third baseman -- and a manager that won't lead his team to a championship title again). Poooooor Yankee fans. P.S. Back on topic: Papi hits .331 at Yankee Stadium with 12 HRs in 36 games, what does Jeter hit at Fenway? I'll give you a hint -- it is lower than .245.
  12. SF-9, RBI for Ortiz. 2-1 lead, now.
  13. "Rollins was too cool for school on that one" -- WEEI
  14. Let's Go Clippers! Let's Go Pistons!
  15. It's like giving children a new toy, I guess.
  16. CrespoBlows, the commercials get damn annoying, but Double D's is amazing. I just wish I had one here in San Angelo.
  17. Ortiz, Lowell, Beckett, Ramirez and Papelbon deserve it for their play this year. It is real unfortunate that the fans get so much of a vote because as said, A-Rod will get in over Lowell. I'd be real surprised if Schilling got voted in this year.
  18. When a player has a fit like Barret did, their team deserves to lose 7-0. Barret is nothing more than a little baby in this situation. I will pull for the Cubs on occasion, but this really reflects badly on the organization.
  19. Who is Kevin Reese? Do Yankee fans even know who Reese is?
  20. Seeing this is your first post: Welcome. And yes, there is nothing like having our guys win and Rivera being Rivera against the Mets.
  21. I don't think he was thinking, See Red. Too bad BOTH the Mavericks and Spurs can't lose. I think hate Mark Cuban and the Southern Oklahoma Mavwrecks, though.
  22. I've seen the NESN commercial, so let me say: Reading the line "Did you see that catch Coco made?" is the equivilant of YES having a commercial stating "Did you see that save Mariano Rivera made against Boston?" C'mon Crisp, get healthy.
  23. 2006: Derek Jeter gets caught rounding second at Fenway while Gonzo hits three run homers at the Stadium. He is only hitting .210, but he'll get back up around the .260 range. I'm appreciative of what he has brought to the club. On defense, he's been brilliant. One error in 272.2 innings on the field. That's a .992 fielding percentage... take notes, New York.
  24. I will say, though: Congrats, Yankee fans. No matter how bad a teams pitching staff is, to come back from 10-1 (or 9-0) is unbelievable. I watched the game, and that was probably the most entertaining game I've seen this year. Nice win for New York.
