  1. Wait....are they actually going to do it? I mean...it's not going to do anything, the Yanks and Sox will go out there to shake hands not wanting to, Yankee fans will be booing and chanting Red Sox suck. Dumb idea that should never have been even considered.
  2. Yeah, on some computers depending on the settings, the stats can look small....sorry about that. Also to note, official countdown: 0 days 19 hrs and 35 minutes
  3. That'd be great to get Schil back for the 13th...
  4. Alright, here's the link....tell me if you find any faults: http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=drew_2k7
  5. If you don't mind yeszir, later on tonight (Sat.) I might provide a link to the post on my website previewing the Sox and baseball in 2005 on this thread. It has a pretty good amount of detail to it so I thought I might give everyone a chance to read it. And about opening day....LET'S GO RED SOX!
  6. He looks like he would like to do a little more than just stand next to him.
  7. Your probably right to an extent though. I saw the Reds play last year in Cincy and they have a very improved team...I don't know if it's enough to take them to the World Series, but I'd give it a year or two and they'll be there.
  8. Ding, ding ding...we have a winner. Worry about your own pitching staff Yankees fans, before you begin to criticize ours.
  9. Just like last season we wanted A-Rod and had to "settle" for Schilling. Boy did that turn out great for you guys. (laughter) Also to note, let's compare.... Pavano's ERA over the last 3 years: 4.53 Clement's ERA over the last 3 years: 3.79
  10. I'm not too concerned...the Sox are building up for the future with bringing in some younger guys. We have the stuff to compete this year, but what you'll see over the next few years with the Yankees is that you can't just go out and buy older guys and expect to win. The Red Sox management is thinking about the long run with these guys, but as far as the present goes, the talent we have brought in is very good and will hopefully lead us back to the World Series.
  11. I know you yankees fans like to live in your own fantasy worlds, dreaming about past accomplishments trying to keep up, but WAKE THE HELL UP! Pitching is debatable between the two teams, but once again your DADDY will dominate the bats and will make you remember what the beginning of last year was like. P.S. Randy Johnson is too pussy to do that.
  12. Maybe the SI jinx will f#%^ up BOTH the Sox and Yanks, and the Orioles will win the East....nah.
  13. Maybe his presence prior to the 7th inning. You saying Schilling will have a bad year is your biased opinion...who says Randy Johnson is going to have a great year? Your pitching staff may screw up your whole season AGAIN by not living up to expectations.
  14. I guess the Rockies feel that they have nothing to lose...their fans have zero expectations for them this year except to reload with some young guys.
  15. Heres the link for anyone to read: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20050330&content_id=981257&vkey=spt2005news&fext=.jsp&c_id=bos
  16. Glad your back safely. Sounds like it was a great spring training experience for you. One day I'll have to get down there for some games, sounds like everyone who has gone has loved it....
  17. Whoever's fantasy team Ichiro is on is pretty lucky. 'Course I take pride in the fact that Albert "hasn't struck out in 50 at bats" Pujols is on mine.
  18. THIS JUST IN: The starting rotation for the Yankees has been announced... Game 1: David Wells vs. Randy Johnson Game 2: TBA vs. Carl Pavano Game 3: TBA vs. Mike Mussina
  19. He was also one of the most liked guys in Red Sox history. That's how I'll remember his 9 years in Boston....the fantastic player that he was.
  20. Can someone fill me in on the starters for the 5th and 6th of April. I don't know if it has been announced yet, but I've been searching, and with all this talk of Wells on Sunday, I haven't heard anything. I guess we just have to choose from Arroyo, Wake and Clement. I'd like to see Arroyo and Wake gets those starts personally.
  21. Guess we can all hope. :\
  22. We'll just hope your wrong mannyman
  23. From one writer to another, that's a very well written story. Wish I had the opportunity to write more about the Sox down here in Texas.
