  1. Pathetic 2nd part of the game. Blowing an 8-3 lead is unacceptable...I don't care who your playing. Pitching just wasn't there tonight.
  2. Beware of T-Mac and the Rockets! After taking down the MaverWRECKS AGAIN, it's only a matter of time before your team is next. http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/afp/20050121/capt.sge.dkv91.210105075334.photo00.photo.default-384x256.jpg Stay tuned.
  3. Yeah, I can think of a lot of guys that deserve a statue outside Fenway before Schilling....even when you include what a great player and great guy he is.
  4. Agree....at the end of the year, everyone will see just what a great pickup he was, and the key hits that he had for us. He's definitely an upgrade at the SS position after O-Cab, and with Nomar out for a while, even if Nomah is my fav. player....I have to say that Renteria is an upgrade from Nomar, too.
  5. Apparently so...I didn't even think they had a fan base.
  6. Did anyone here the comments the D-Rays announcers made about Schilling while he was yelling at a Tampa Bay player? They showed it on SportsCenter. Something like, "Schilling running his mouth, that's no surprise." And, "He got his walker and ran out onto the field."
  7. Agree with yeszir...plus, living in Mass. how many chances do you get to see the Braves? I'm sure the Mariners will be in town once again next year.
  8. Anyone in need of a good first baseman, I have one in Scott Hatteberg (he's backing up Pujols). He's batting .299 with 6 RBIs. He's very reliable, so someone like the Springfield Rifles, Toon, aclbosox, or maybe even Sizzlin22 could use him if they were intrested in a trade. Also, I'm not in need, but a chance at getting an OF or possibly a SS from someone would be nice. I'm sure I could work something out with someone.
  9. We can't afford to be swept...it's bad enough losing 2-of-3, but dear god let's not get swept. C'mon Arroyo.
  10. Yeah, and I'm watching on FSN Southwest. The Rangers announcers are pretty good, actually..."I don't think there's anything left for Yankee fans to boo." "Announcer #1: Do you ever think fans at Ameriquest Field (where the Rangers play), would boo a guy who's coming out after getting injured? Announcer #2: Nope, never." "Some of the Rangers players after getting off the bus, saw a cameraman and started joking around about how they should pull a 'Randy Johnson.'"
  11. Sheffield makes an error....it's now 8-1 Rangers. BWAHAHAHAHA!!! Men on 2nd and 3rd, 2 outs....pitching change.
  12. Some Yankee fans do have brain cells!
  13. Just came back from somewhere, but when I last saw a view of the stadium it looked about 1/15 full. P.S. Good job Yankees....Wright gets injured and comes out of the game and you boo him.
  14. Rangers now up 4-0 on a Mark Teixeira 2-run HR, while the next play Wright makes an error to put a man on with 2 outs. Now as I'm typing Kevin Mench hits a 2-run HR to take the lead 6-0. Good job Yankees. You suck.
  15. That's pathetic the amount of people that are at the game. Regardless of the weather...how can such a storied team have such a horrible fan base? What's even more sad, is the attendance will be listed as a lot more than were actually there. Also, Rangers already lead 1-0 in the 2nd.
  16. "The Terminal" is a good movie, though. I don't think we should find a new admin....yet.
  17. The Yankees just lose more than they win. http://www.talksox.com/forum/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  18. Guess we should just face it.....we played like the Yankees tonight. http://www.talksox.com/forum/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  19. Eh, come on...I agree on the 'f' Bellhorn, because I'm not too happy on the way he plays, but I'm looking at Embree's stats prior to the game, and in 7.1 IP he's given up 4 ER...that's not horrible by any means. (He does need to improve, though) I was watching the game also, and I'm upset....but it's a long season, and there is still two games left this series. We'll be alright....tonight just wasn't Wakefield's night, and it took us a while to start hitting. Schil is on the mound tomorrow.
  20. Let's go Wakefield, Let's go Sox! I'd like to see us keep up that AL East lead. Also to note: Texas Rangers begin a 3 game set at New York tonight...the Rangers have the bats to win it, the pitching just needs to hold up. Hopefully Kevin Brown pitches bad tonight.
  21. A 1.17 ERA in the past 7 starts is fantastic...why were we written off again before the season when talking about who the greatest pitching staff would be? BTW, I keep up with all the Boston pitching staff stats...the link is in my sig.
  22. Picture of the injury....not a very good one, though: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/2005/04/20/rlyNzRhi.jpg
  23. Here....now the game thread is no longer boring: http://redsox.eluid.org/images/anger-management.jpg
  24. Go Rockets!
  25. f***, there goes another chance to watch him now that I've payed all this money to see every baseball game. Or to see him in person for that matter, when the Cubbies come down to Houston this year.
