  1. Late addition, but I'm interested and won't bail out on it. Got the time of the draft and am ready. The name is: tx_soxfan11
  2. It's bullsh^t that MLB Extra Innings isn't showing spring training games, but atleast I can watch it. Anyone know how good the reception is on the thing MLB.com offers?
  3. Anyone have a link to this story? Doesn't seem like Nomar would say that.
  4. He's definitely out! http://sportsmedia.ign.com/sports/image/article/589/589712/mlb-2k5-20050222021006136.jpg Like said, looks like some very realistic graphics... http://xboxmedia.ign.com/xbox/image/article/586/586534/mlb-2k5-20050209113314496.jpg
  5. I'll give him credit, but he's not going to win it alone for the M's. Just letting Soxfan#1 know that.
  6. And that is what it all comes down to. Who cares what the M's have done? Their still screwed in the AL West. A total of 51 games vs. Oak/Tex/Ana....that's one hell of a tough schedule. I also saw a few series against the Yanks, and a few against the BoSox. Good luck Mariners. (snicker) http://seattle.mariners.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_400085.jpghttp://www.aggies9496.com/Images/tuStuff/ultimate.gifhttp://www.ticketstores.com/event/images/seattle_mariners2.jpg
  7. Uhh.... 45 HRs? Seriously, who wrote that?
  8. I don't even have to use stats for a comparison here. Ready? Use your brain. The Seattle Mariners were horrible last year. They can't be THAT much better this coming year, they haven't made that many big deals this offseason. (Unless you count everyone's boy and former Yankee Jeff Nelson as a big pick up that is) The M's will be playing against the A's, Angels and Rangers. What are you guys smoking? C'mon you have to go with the team that Peter Gammons said he wouldn't be surprised if they won the World Series this year... THAT WOULD BE THE MINNESOTA TWINS! Soxfan#1's motto: http://www.allposters.com/IMAGES/17/MARIJUANA.jpg
  9. blah blah blah blah.... silly liberals.... life IS NOT all about you. http://www.ooze.com/finger/bushfinger.jpg
  10. Either way, I'm going to win. If we did it that way, Soxfan#1 would still lose because the fact how many times Seattle has to play teams in the AL West powerhouses like: Oakland, Anaheim and Texas. C'mon...compare the AL Central to the AL West. The Twins are the better team, have a weaker S.O.S. (strength of schedule), ect. All signs favor the Twins and me. I can just see the sig line of my dominance on Soxfan#1's sig line now. Let the season begin.
  11. we don't make this stuff up... http://scd.mm-a.yimg.com/image/168658894
  12. Deal. Go Twins!
  13. Got to go with Schilling the way this guy came through in game six.
  14. I guess I was considering buying a Pawtucket Red Sox hat..... I was just curious if anyone else out there owns any different Red Sox minor league team gear. This seems like a pretty nice hat to buy: http://www.pawsox.com/files/3.1098299588.jpg
  15. Holy **** did that come out wrong. I'll edit it. Alright, how about a deal.... if the Mariners win the AL West I'll send you a great amount of money. If they don't you have to make your sig line "I am Sox fan in Texas's bitch" for a full year.
  16. Welcome fellow transplanted Sox fan!
  17. Used to be Nomar (still my fav player in the game), but now I'd have to go with Foulke.... my boy who went to high school down here. http://www.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_114342.jpg
  18. AL East Yanks.... damnit prove me wrong Sox AL Central Twins AL West Angels (I hope you kidding with the mariners Soxfan#1) Wildcard Red Sox NL East Atlanta Braves (how can you pick against them?) NL Central St. Louis Cardinals NL West Dodgers (I hope Arizona is also a joke Soxfan#1 otherwise.... well, I don't know about your predictions) Wildcard Houston Astros NL Wildcard Round Braves over St Louis Dodgers over Astros NLCS Braves over Dodgers AL Wildcard Round Twins over Yankees Red Sox over Angels ALCS Sox over Twins WORLD SERIES Braves over Red Sox
  19. The numbers come out pretty much identical. The Sox are paying $5,000 more per year for Clement. We're giving Clement $8.5M per-yr, the Astros are giving Oswalt $8.45M per-yr. I watched both of these guys pitch in the NL last year.... personally I'd rather have Oswalt, but obviously I'm happy with Clement, I just hope we didn't overpay for him.
  20. Nationally, he's definitely underrated. For all those who don't particualrly keep up with the Astros, Roy's 4 years in Houston have gone a little something like this.... 2001... 14-3, 2.73 ERA, 141.1 IP 2002... 19-9, 3.01 ERA, 233.0 IP 2003... 10-5, 2.97 ERA, 127.1 IP 2004... 20-10, 3.49 ERA, 237 IP Oswalt is only 27, and is a great pitcher. He deserves that 2-yr/16.9M dollar deal.... he's a bright player that your going to hear a lot more about in the future.
  21. How soon will a series against Anaheim in early June sell out? I realize that I need to get the tickets ASAP.... but I'm just wondering.
  22. Yep.... it's not hard to see that this book is full of bull****
  23. Thanks for posting the NESN tv schedule for spring training games RedSoxRooter I knew WGN was showing the Cubs spring training, but wasn't sure if NESN was showing all or just some of ours. BTW, will MLB Extra Innings be up and ready for SP games? This is the first year I'll be buying it, and I wasn't sure if they will show the spring training games or not. Any info would help, thanks.
  24. Holy Sh^t was I wrong. Those sucked!
  25. I don't love the Pats like I do the Texans, but I was pulling for 'em tonight. Congrats to you guys on the win!
