I sat in grandstand section 23, row 13 last time and I don't think you'll have any trouble seeing. They are really good seats and hopefully you'll enjoy the game. So you're playing great baseball and you're still in 3rd place? Good job, jackass. Keep up the great work. As far as the "you can't win the division if you can't win on the road" comment, I don't think you can win the division if you get swept by the worst team in baseball either. Stop making idiotic comments and only posting here when your team is winning. Also, if your schedule got any easier I think people all around baseball would be complaining. While DADDY is playing big time teams such as the red-hot Guardians in Cleveland, you sit at home and enjoy the hapless Devil Rays and the ONLY rival you can keep up with, the MIGHTY New York Mets. We've played tons of road games and towards the end of the season it evens out for us. Again, enjoy 3rd place.

Welcome to reality. This is a Red Sox fan board and most of us (especially myself) hate the Yankees. So if for instance I see something about the Yankees that I don't like, I may post about it... especially if it comes to unnecessary curtain calls which is my eyes is showboating and is pathetic. I'm glad our organization ATLEAST has the class to celebrate the right way. P.S. It seems we do have something in common, though: We both enjoy seeing Mariano Rivera on the field.

We're not going to trade Payton. He's too valuable. What happens if one of our three OFers go down? Do we want Stern playing everyday out there? Actually, thinking about it... we could trade him. Millar could be a backup OFer is someone goes down and naturally Olerud could play first.

He's obviously kidding. I'm sure Matsui can't read english, anyway.

Oh well, give Payton his time so he can stop complaining. That seems like a pretty weak lineup on our part, though.

It's great and all that you feel the need to give yourself the curtain call to the crowd after going 3-for-4 with a HR, but let's be honest here... I'm hitting .286 with the Yankees as well. Here's my 'logic': The YANKEES SUCK. Take your time laughing at them, they'll be behind us for the entire year.

All they had to do is play fairly decent and they might have been ahead of the Yankees, but yet again it's another season where they won't be anywhere close to the AL East.

I watched them against the Rangers last night... two teams up at the top of their division and the Nationals just got smashed (8-1)... they will DEFINITELY have to play better than when I saw them.

I can't believe no one has talked about this guy yet. He hit .375 with 3 HRs and 15 RBIs in April and earned PawSox of the month honors. He's a top 15 Red Sox prospect and has an OBP of .422 to go along with his .576 SLG%. This guy is on fire. Has anyone has a chance at seeing him play in person? I'm kind of interested in how long it will be before this guy gets a shot at the majors. I'm starting to think that it may not be such a bad idea letting Damon go this offseason if he asks more money than we want to give him. I mean, we have Chip in Pawtucket.... we have Hanley (should be at Pawtucket), Brandon Moss and Chris Durban who are all top 20 prospects in Portland. And I believe Adam Stern has what it takes. We are pretty loaded if you ask me. Keeping with the OF, how long do we have Manny, Payton and Nixon locked up? I couldn't find a website that offered that kind of information. I'm just thinking that I'm liking Chip's chances are starting in 2006. Thoughts anyone?

I can see where you're coming from with that, but with me before we won it I hated them possibly a little out of jealousy and I'd let them know, but I still hate them and bash them as much now. For all those years they'd let you know every possible chance, "1918" and "26 rings". Now it's finally our turn to put some of that anger towards them and let them know that we have the last World Series victory and we took a trip to the WS right out of the grasps of their hands like they've done to us in times past.

You're right. If I had to pick one problem that needs fixing ASAP, it's then pen. Then again, our starting pitching is really working guys like Timlin, Embree, Foulke, ect. to death right now. Once the starting pitching all starts clicking I think the bullpen will too.

There is no argument to begin with. 'Should they keep Bellhorn' is a horrible title because no matter what people think... we don't have a choice. Unless you trade him and a good prospect for a great 2nd baseman out there I don't know what we would do. You're not going to bring Hanley all the way up... Bellhorn stays, and in my opinion it's a good decision.
