  1. That would be a sweet sig.
  2. Champions play in this town. http://ideaspot.net/mlb/AL_East/small/rsox2-sm.gifhttp://ideaspot.net/nfl/AFC_East/small/pat1-sm.gifhttp://ideaspot.net/nba/atlantic/small/celtics1-sm.gifhttp://ideaspot.net/nhl/northeast/small/bruins1-sm.gif
  3. The Yankees have the dumbest people running their organization in the league. Read Moneyball, Steinbrenner... stop spending money on old wasted players. Randy Johnson sucks.
  4. Who? Oh, A-Rod. Yeah, assuming he can keep up this pace, he has a good shot.
  5. Alright, I know the Yankees are done, so now we just need to catch Baltimore. The only problem is comparing our schedule to theirs... Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th: Us.... at Chicago Cubs Them at Cincinnati Mon. the 13th to Wed. the 15th: Us.... vs. Cincinnati Them vs. Houston Fri. the 17th to Sunday the 19th: Us.... vs. the Pirates Them vs. Colorado Our best shot is to just keep cutting down a game and hope they somehow lose a couple of those series. From the 24th-29th will be a tough stretch from them when they go to Atlanta for three then come home to face the Yankees for three. We have a good opportunity then considering we are at Philly for three then back home vs. the Guardians for three.
  6. What I hope about Wells is that he stays consistent. In his first two starts it was painful to watch. Only going 4.1 IP in New York giving up 10 hits and 4 ER then next start out at Toronto he went 6.1 IP and gave up 9 hits on 6 ER. Then you see him step it up in the next two games giving up no ERs in 15 IP vs. the Devil Rays and in Baltimore. And since then, it's been more inconsistency. Hopefully he'll stay on track... he's proven he still has what it takes.
  7. Don't make dumbass remarks. soxie thefangirl, trust me... everyone on here wants Bellhorn to start hitting as much as you do. I personally don't have a problem with the guy as a person. He seems to give a good amount of effort each time out. The only problem is that down the road I think people are wondering if this is best for the team for us to keep Bellhorn at 2nd. Hopefully he brakes out of this slump soon, he works too hard not to.
  8. Although we have a huge fan base, the attention we are getting right now has been brought upon ourselves. Damon and Theo wanting me to visit Dunkin Donuts, the whole team urging me to watch them on BRAVO, Ortiz telling me that Comcast is the way to go, when does it end?
  9. To add more numbers to the equation of why we should bench Bellhorn, here you go (numbers prior to the St. Louis series): 76% of the time Bellhorn gets up to bat he's an out. Of that 76%, 32% is a strikeout and 11% being a walk. How horrible is that?
  10. Yeah, rub it in for us a thousand miles away.
  11. It is pretty nice to win the finale, and now we FINALLY get a break (a day off) before going to the hopeless sCrUBS and Wrigley.
  12. Yeah, that 'what were you saying about Rent' was for whoever called him 'Rent-a-wreck' and also compared Edgar to Blowhorn. Hey, I got a comparison. Let's compare "flip em off" Kim to Bellhorn.
  13. Looking at Schil's starts you can still see even when he pitches bad when healthy he will be dominant: H/A IP H R ER SO/BB HR BF G/F PC GSc 04/13 C.Schilling.. H 5.2 9 5 5 5/1 2 27 5/7 108 35 L 04/18 C.Schilling.. H 5.0 10 5 3 10/2 0 29 2/3 117 39 W 04/23 C.Schilling.. A 7.0 9 6 6 5/0 1 29 10/6 94 40 L I mean, he strikes out A LOT more in each start then every other pitcher we throw out there.
  14. Who knows why the Yankees get so much attention when they suck. Don't talk about the Yankees losing, talk about the Orioles at the top of the division or something.
  15. Already got the pitching stats: @ St. Louis Cards IP H R ER SO/BB HR BF G/F PC GSc 06/08 D.Wells...... 8.0 4 0 0 2/0 0 27 10/11 94 76 W 06/08 K.Foulke..... 1.0 2 0 0 0/0 0 5 0/3 20 - Foulke's batter-by-batter 9th inning: (inning entered/outs when entered/bases occupied when entered) 06/08/05 (9/0/0) 9th: F9, F8, 1B, 1B, F7
  16. Youklover: Wells has been fantastic. His final line he went 8 IP giving up only 4 hits and no runs. V-tek drove in 2 runs while Papi and Rent each had a solo HR.
  17. ESPN2 is about to show some of the Sox game for those who can't see tonight's game.
  18. Wait, what were you saying about Rent? He just gave us a key run against the Cardinals giving us some extra run support. Hey Bellhorn, what have you done for me lately?
  19. I don't know if it's still a guarantee that he preforms well. We can just hope that he puts up some good numbers, it's getting boring not being able to type Schil's numbers in my Red Sox Pitching Report.
  20. -Apparently the Royals still have a baseball team. -ClementRulez30 is actually YANKEESRULE just trying to be accepted. -I guess the Brew Crew still play baseball too. -You can be 6th in your team in RBIs, bat bellow .300 and have a ROOKIE on your team named Wang preforming better than you and can still qualify as captain of the New York Yankees. Sign me up. Anything else?
  21. Hey Manny Goes Boom, didn't you here? ClementRulez30 took over the Yankees at the beginning of this year.
  22. How can this thread get 120 responses? And what has Bellhorn done to get some many people to like him? He's not what you would call the fan favorite. More like the fan punching bag.
  23. You've been listening to way too much WEEI, Johnny. At the time I can see why we weren't sure on signing him, there were plenty of questions about his health and it didn't appear to be worth it. You still can't judge the signing. What if he goes out next time and gets injured and can't pitch anymore... then is Pedro a good pickup? He still has a lot of the year left and 3 more years. It's too early too make any decisions, especially when we judge after a fantastic 2-hit preformance.
  24. Welcome to talksox. You sound like a very loyal Sox fan, and the more we have here... the better.
  25. Hey Red Sox Rooter, just a question since you're on. Since you have MLB Extra Innings and the one on MLB.com where you can watch the games, on the MLB website, do you get the choice to watch the game on NESN? If so, it maybe definitely worth it for me to do that next year. Back to the game: Captain Varitek! 3-0 Sox.
